I still can’t figure out how or why Jennifer Lopez is relevant, but she looked very pretty hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend. And the songs she sang as the musical guest were very pretty, too, and I’m sure they got interesting and catchy right after I hit fast-forward on my DVR five seconds after she started singing. But I freakin’ died at the cold open, mocking the “We Are the World” remake. There was also a hilarious sketch about Smashmouth being in a little girl’s closet, and it has resulted in my bursting out with “Somebody once told me the world is gonna roll me!” at regular intervals throughout the day. I wanted to post it on here so that it could be stuck in everyone else’s head, to, but the sketch isn’t posted on NBC’s website or on YouTube. If you know where I can find it, I’d be much obliged.

I was just about to change the channel when she stepped on stage for her first song, alas, laziness prevented me from reaching for the remote. Good thing because it would have prevented me from seeing THE FUNNIEST PART of the show! Seriously people, you all must find it and watch it! My boyfriend and I decided it was worth our boring saturday at home just to witness. The second song, however, was disappointingly not completely awful. So make sure you find the right one. I was completely surprised on sunday when I could not find one post on any blog about her crazy singing (only all of the comments left about posts on her appearance on the show). Either it is a conspiracy and every internet blogger is paid off by her people to “make it go away” or everybody else out there did the same and hit the fast forward button. Please Molls or Beet etc. be the voice of the people and find a clip of her singing and post it!
