Andrew Koenig, the actor who played Mike Seaver’s friend Boner on Growing pains and the son of the actor who played Chekov on Star Trek, has been missing for almost a week.

He was visiting Vancouver with friend and burlesque dancer Jenny Magenta and was last seen on February 14th.  He missed a flight home on February 16th and hasn’t had any contact with friends or family, who say that he was in a “severely depressed” state of mind when he went missing.

Celebrity friends are putting out requests for any information anyone might have about his whereabouts, but given his state of mind and the fact that no one has seen him for a week, at this point, it might just be time for thoughts and prayers.

Awwww…Boner! I hope he’s alright. What has he been doing with his life anyways?

PS—I’m sure a lot of your readers are far too young to remember Growing Pains.

Uh-oh, this seems ominous. When a severely depressed person goes missing that’s of course bad, but when it happens on a holiday (Hallmark-y, but Valentine’s Day, nonetheless), it’s like the third sign of the apocalypse. I hope Boner is somehow found healthy.

  3. i find this story really sad
