Madonna’s been out of the spotlight for what now, like, forty-five seconds so natch, she has to pull this kind of stunt in order to gain some relevant credibility.
She and ex-husband Sean Penn were spotted yesterday on a three-and-a-half hour siesta that involved eating and drinking and God knows what else. Madonna split with Guy Ritchie last year and Penn’s on-again, off-again divorce was filed this past summer from fellow actress Robin Wright so … do the math. I guess that means it’s high time for another crazy, drug- and alcohol-fueled display of obsessive affection, don’t you?
“When the Oscars were on, I had just given birth…I was sitting there with my twins – I couldn’t have been happier – but I was like, ‘How dope would it have been if I would’ve won the Oscar and been here in my hospital bed accepting the award? Thank you so much! I just want to thank the academy!’”
- Jennifer Lopez telling Latina Magazine that she was disappointed the Academy didn’t nominate her for her 2008 film, El Cantante.
I think it’s pretty bold that she flat out admits to feeling stiffed. Rarely do people, especially big stars, admit to being disappointed by such a loss. However, does she think that the Oscar telecast would cut to her in her hospital bed holding the award? This isn’t the MTV Movie Awards. You can’t pretape your acceptance speech. It’s the Oscars. You’re there or you’re not, babies and all. Gawd, Jenny!
Hey, do we like Sarah Silverman? I like her public image, definitely. I always really sided with her after the Jimmy Kimmel break up (remember this baller move from her Emmy acceptance speech?), but I haven’t checked out her Comedy Central show in a long time or seen her do stand up. I think the closest thing to her work that I’ve seen her do recently was this video, and I wasn’t too crazy about that. So where do we stand on Sarah now? I need to hear your opinions to help me make up my mind.
This FunnyOrDie video parodying Match.com ads and Rihanna’s new beau is a little on the mean side for my tastes, but I bet some of you will see the humor in it. The actor who plays Matt cracks jokes about how he’s looking for a girl with “emotional baggage” (because she got beaten by her last boyfriend and doesn’t talk to her father, I guess) and that wants to share an umbrella. He also says he wants a woman with a has a whiney voice and pauses in front of the camera at the end to say over and over again that he does not hit chicks.
I suppose it’s a good thing that the person they are parodying is actually Rihanna’s new squeeze and this isn’t just some “audition tape to date Rihanna” or else I would think the whole idea is completely awful. I think that there would be a way to do a “Matt Kemp’s Match.com video” sketch without including half of the rude/outdated references they did, but hey! Maybe I’m just sensitive.
Victoria Silvstedt frolics around St. Barth’s in a bikini while totally oblivious to the paparazzi snapping photos. You know, the paparazzi that she totally didn’t call.
So, like, this is pretty fucked up. TMZ is reporting — and no one’s denying — that, after the Olympics, NBC will return their coveted 11:30pm time slot to Jay Leno, essentially giving Conan O’Brien the boot.
Sources say that Conan’s been given a choice: he can leave the network or he can take the midnight-1am time slot. Those sources also say that NBC will not stop Conan from jumping to another network, although legally they have that option.
Conan is rumored to be pissed, as he found out about this decision not much before the rest of the world did. Um, yeah. I would be pissed, too.
I’ve got no idea what NBC’s thinking was behind this move, but it’s pretty dirty to treat your high-profile talent this way. Then again, it wouldn’t be the ugliest thing that’s happened in Hollywood. It’s all business, right?
I would like to tell you that the term “retard” is very offensive to me. I am not offended because I ASSUME it would offend someone who has mental retardation. I am offened on how the word came to...
I am not offended that Rosie has a fear or anxiety of LP. I feel that when someone knows very little about things and or people they tend to be anxious. Think about it if you had never been around someone...
