“Make a nice dinner reservation now, because that’s the biggest night out of the year – says the former hostess – have a nice glass of wine, and take your top off.”
- Julia Roberts tells a reporter how to have a successful Valentine’s Day while promoting Valentine’s Day.

She is so irrelevant.
If relevance were a big juicy watermelon at a picnic, she would be the little pesky ant trying to get in but everyone shoos away and wishes would go away.
I don’t think she’s irrelevant. It’s just that the Julia we fell in love with is no longer. I get the impression she is not so much an actress anymore devoted to her craft as much as a once famous celebrity who became a wife and mother. Her movies seem more like paychecks so she can be a wealthy everyday person. I think we would all feel different about her if she focused back on her acting. But I doubt she’ll do that. I could see her moving towards behind the camera things once her looks and what’s left of her ‘pretty woman’ charm have officially faded. Perhaps anyday? But she did help define a generation and most people remember her movies. I guess you are kindda right in your assessment, but just not so pesky ant.
Go away pesky ant.
