Alicia Keys is rumored to have gotten an extra special gift for her 29th birthday, an engagement ring from her boyf Swizz Beatz. The only thing that keeps this from being 100% happy news is that Swizz is in the process of divorcing his wife. Has to make you wonder how these two got together if he was still married, huh?
Right now there are tons of blogs out calling Alicia a “homewrecker”, a term that I never really like because it implies that a woman is capable of “wrecking” someone’s family. At the same time, I hate cheaters and scandalous, no-good behavior, and the reports don’t make Alicia and her man sound so great:
Rumors have been swirling for months now that Keys and Beats began a relationship while he was still with his now-estranged wife, singer Mashonda.
The legendary producer, who has worked with Beyonce, Keys, Jay Z, Eminem and a slew of others, said he didn’t want his current relationship with Keys to play any factor in his divorce.
While he previously denied any romantic ties to Keys, Beats reportedly admitted to the News that he is in love with her.
Meanwhile, Mashonda is reportedly in developing a court case against her soon-to-be-ex husband for slashing his child support payments for their 2-year-old son Kasseem Jr.
It’s kind of shocking to think of sweet Alicia Keys hooking up with a man who’s stiffing his soon-to-be-ex-wife on child support for their baby. This isn’t exactly Tiger Woods-style drama, but it’s always a bummer to read stories like this.
My sister and her husband have been estranged for five years. No idea why they’re not divorced yet, except that they’re both a bit lazy. But it is possible to be in a committed relationship with someone who is married and not, really, be cheating. However, dicking out of child support is never, ever cool, so that guy should stfu anyway.

being married has nothing to do with being in love. or vice versa.
the one at fault here (if any, cause they might have been separated for all we know) is the husband, he is the one that has to respect his marriage vows, etc.
That’s because you are a woman, men are the weaker sex where sex is concerned. Throw a hot woman with big knockers in front of ANY man with a few drinks in him and no matter how much he loves his GF/Wife something sexual with transpire. Unless he’s a closet case.

I agree with Mercy. Things aren’t always so black and white and I think there are certain instances in which cheating doesn’t make you a bad person or a monster or anything. You can’t help who you fall in love with or when and maybe he honestly did think his wife was it until he met Alicia Keys. We’re all human and none of us are infallible.
I agree you can’t control who you fall in love with, but people can and must control their behavior. I also don’t think Mercy was trying to justify cheating, but rather to qualify its definition (she can of course correct me if I’m wrong).
You CAN control who you fall in love with, we are human beings not animals. You’re making excuses for cunty, manipulative women.
It would be hypocritical of me to defend cheating, as I’ve cheated before. That doesn’t stop me from thinking that this particular bad of ass should bewhipped for his penalties. That is HIS CHILD, and he BEST step up.

Slashing child support is NOT the same as not paying. I’m sure because of this mans income he is paying this woman MORE then enough to care for a child.
Who knows, maybe the kids aren’t even his, women cheat and lie and hatch evil plans everyday. 1.9 million men pay for children that aren’t theirs. Paternity fraud happens all the time.
