Kate Gosselin got a weave! Kate Gosselin got a weave! Ahh! How exciting! Kate Gosselin got a weave put in by celebrity stylist Ted Gibson! I can only imagine what a mullet that thing looks like when the fans aren’t blasting, but damn: She looks good in this photo.
Ted, who works on just about everyone who’s anyone, including Angelina Jolie, got his hands on Kate’s infamous hair and went to town regardless of the fact that he didn’t have much to work with. “Bonding extensions to those little hairs really took time. But in all those hours, she didn’t complain once. She was so open to whatever I suggested, and willing to try just about anything,” he told People Magazine.
One thing particularly hilarious about the hair change is that the most awful part of Kate’s last style (her bangs) was the one thing she really wanted to hold on to. Gibson said, “She wasn’t sure about bangs, but I find many women have that one thing they’re afraid to let go of, that one ‘security blanket’ part of their look, whether it’s a fear of going shorter or darker or something. But once they finally let go and embrace the change, they always love it.”
Crazy hair is gone, crappy husband is gone… Kate Gosselin is set up to win, ladies and gents.

Ha! She looks more like she did when she and Jon got married than she did during the marriage.
And he’s fat, greasy and covered with acne. And nailing super classy chicks like Hailey Glassman.
This is a definite win for Kate.
I like it- although when I look at her I can still “see” in my mind that awful mullet. But it looks good. Must have cost a fortune. She certainly has plenty of extra dough it seems to drop on weaves, tanning, teeth whitening, etc.
I am sure it was free in exchange for the publicity.

Molls, I feel the need to explain a slight difference to you: a weave is a hair piece that is actually sewn onto the client’s scalp, whereas extensions (like what Kate had done) are separate pieces of hair that are bonded to sections of hair close to the scalp. Just thought you might want to know.

No… it’s not sewn into the scalp… it’s sewn or glued to the hair close to the scalp.

I think what they do is braid your real hair down pretty tight to the scalp and sew the weave into that.
And I watched the show that started it all and they showed pics from when they were dating and first married and she was a really pretty woman with gorgeous long blond hair like she has via the magic of the stylist.
He liked the short hair. He groomed her to be materialistic (?). Now he is gone. Her hair is growing or being grown and she got a free do.
I hope his plugs fall out.

Unfortunately not–look, Kate Gosselin is in charge of 8 kiddos and in need of a ridiculous amount of child support but she finds the time to spend 20 hours to get extensions put in?
And then of course however long it takes to fly out for a photo shoot.
Kate is in charge of 8 human beings. I don’t think she should be rewarded for leaving her children up to the care of other people. As much as she complained the “p-people” were following her they never caught a picture of her loading up the kids to travel with her on the book tour.
And any “candid” shot of Kate she is alone getting coffee, putting gas in the SUV or collecting packages from a UPS store. Or,wait, wearing a bikini.

I guess I’ve been sippin way too much of it too. I don’t know why this woman gets me so pissed. Actually I have lots reasons but theres just something about her that makes me go apeshit. Booo Kate.
Whether we agree with it or not, Kate is now a public person and her income stream (it seems anyway) will be tied to her appearance and her marketability. Miss Thing isn’t a small town mother of a child army anymore….she is a product of the “reality star maker” machine. So she got a new hair style (probably paid for by TLC)…..who cares? That’s the least of the issues to be angry about in this scenario but it’s way past doing much about now. Daddy is a complete horror and Mommy is just this side of putting a kid in a balloon in order to get more media attention. Wonder what the next ten years will bring for those kids?
(And I hate to admit it but I do like her new hair…)

Her crazy hair went with the crazy Kate that we love. It’s gonna be a bit weird to adapt but she does look stunning like she did in her wedding photos.

Teeth: Bleached
Tummy: Tucked
Boobs: Implanted
Uterus: Clomid and IntrauUterine Insemination (IUI – they inject semen into the uterus)
Skin: Tanning boothed
Hair: Colored, weaved
Nails: Mani-pedied
Cost to Kate: $0 (Oh, maybe she had to pay for the boobs, since we haven’t seen any publicity about them.)
But remember, it’s all about the kids!

Maybe you are right, but her breasts seem a lot bigger than they used to and she has gotten thinner. Here is a picture from high school where her chest looks much smaller. But she’s wearing a baggy shirt and she was much younger, so maybe that accounts for it.

I’m really happy about this.
Some women’s breasts enlarge during pregnancy and stay big afterward. My mom had B cups, but after 4 kids now has D cups (she would kill me if she knew I posted this..lol). And they stayed that way. Perhaps Kate’s chest grew from 8 babies? I love her hair, regardless of who she is and does. I think side by side that Kate is a better human being than what’s his face. But that might be like saying which is better…formed or lose stool. For real though, I don’t know much about them except the few times I watched the show. She seemed really bitchy and controlling and he seemed withdrawn and indifferent. Not a great combo. And in response to the comment a few back….I don’t think it makes Kate a bad mom to take time out for herself. Any mom out there knows you stay a better mom if you take care of yourself. My sister used to be a happy person, but after she had her daughter….she let herself go, got really overweight, and totally devoted everything to raising her baby. Her husband doesn’t help unless forced. As a result she developed hypertension at age 42 and is 80% grumpy and yells at her daughter. I think if she took time out to exercise, socialize, get her hair and nails done that she would like herself better and not be so grumpy and impatient with her daughter.
Kate is real cutie in my opinion. I just hope she hasn’t had implants. They kinda ruin it for me. Natuarl is the way to go.
