Joseph Gordon-Levitt was on Jimmy Fallon last night to promote his hosting gig on SNL tonight and ohhhhhh boy do I have a crush on this man. He spends the first minute of his interview praising the house band, The Roots and goes on to tell them that they are the whole reason why he listens to hip hop music. I don’t know what it is about this kid, maybe just the fact that he’s so handsome and seems so entirely psyched on life, but I probably kind of sort of think I need to marry him. Also, as he says in the interview, his SNL monologue tonight sounds like one not to be missed, so gear up your DVRs or get ready to tune in on Hulu Sunday because I think he may just top Drew Barrymoore and Taylor Swifts already exceptional opening bits on the show.

Courteney Cox has been doing a bang-up job on her show Cougar Town from what I’ve heard, but today the news was released that the former Friends star needs to take a break from filming to tend to some private business.

A rep from ABC said today, “We can confirm production on Cougar Town has been temporarily shut down in order for Courteney to deal with a private family matter.”

While I do hope everything is alright with the Cox-Arquette clan, I will be really pissed if this “private family matter” turns out to be that David’s run out of plaid pants to embarrass himself in. Here’s hoping that the family, especially their daughter CoCo, are alright.

Playgirl.com launched the first set of photos with Sarah Palin’s daughter’s baby’s daddy Levi Johnston today and while he looks hot in the sample pic on the front page, I ain’t paying no $29.99 to discover the rest of the waist-up shots. You, however, can feel free to take this link and do whatever you’d like with it.A spokesperson for Playgirl says that the rest of the shots should be up within the week, but don’t hold your breath because as he’s already announced, we won’t be seeing Johnston’s Johnson or anything like it.

Professional fatty/waste of life Jon Gosselin hopped off a plane at LAX yesterday wearing this message tee. I mean, it’s not like this guy is looking for attention, right? And Quicksilver, Jon? Isn’t that like a 20 dollar t-shirt? What happened to the good ol’ days when you could afford those nice fancy bedazzled tiger/leopard/skull Ed Hardy tops, huh? Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

For those of you who don’t know, this little gossip blog is largely funded by the fantastic folks over at RealNetworks. Scoff all you want, but Wendie and Molly and Kelly and I — as well as the women of Zelda Lily and Lilly Likes — wouldn’t be here for you to scoff at daily if it weren’t for their unwavering support of our website and of my personal sanity, day in and day out. This company has been nothing but amazing to me, and they have supported every bizarre and non-traditional creative decision I’ve insisted on making. I have no problem selling out to the man if it means I get to run a gossip blog for a living and employ other phenomenally talented women who deserve to be paid to write.

This was a really exciting week at RealNetworks, as users of our flagship product, RealPlayer SP, used it for 100 million video downloads in less than six months. That’s a huge number; it took YouTube 17 months to get 100 million video views. We’ve been really excited (and there have been a lot of free cookies), and Lacy Kemp and Oona Rokyta, two of our amazing PR girls (and my friends) made a video to celebrate.
