Here at Evil Beet, we’ve been longtime fans of Oxygen’s series Bad Girls Club. What can I say? We like catty bitches. (Takes one to fully appreciate one, maybe?)
We’ve been involved with the folks at Oxygen for over a year now, sending our super-awesome NYC sister team of Saranden and Sierra to their premieres to interview cast members and get a sneak peak at the episodes. This season, we’re really excited about taking that relationship to the next level (hey, if I can’t get a guy to want to do that with me, at least I can hear it from a national television network, right?). Saranden and Sierra will be representing Evil Beet Gossip over at Oxygen, doing weekly episode recaps on the Bad Girls Club website, and hosting a live, social fan chat TONIGHT with viewers of the BGC season premiere. The episode airs tonight (Tuesday!!) at 10/9 Central on Oxygen, and you can log in and chat with fellow Evil Beeters, BGC fans and, of course, Saranden and Sierra at OxygenLive.com. We are sooo pumped to be involved in this cutting-edge new way to be bitchy and judgmental while watching television (ha!), and we’re looking forward to seeing you all there! I have a feeling that a live chat with Saranden and Sierra will be every bit as entertaining as the show itself. (Although that might be a tall order … have you seen the clip above? You should watch it. ZOMG I am so excited for this season. SO. EXCITED.)

Contrary to the rumor, Britney Spears did NOT propose to her agent Jason Trawick, as was reported this week. People Magazine confirms that the two are definitely still together, and the rumors that Britney’s proposal freaked her man out to the point where he straight up left her ass in Australia are completely false.
Phew! We all remember how well it went last time Britney put a ring on someone. It resulted in a very heavy set man getting a huge chunk of her moolah and a horrible, failed reality show.
Also, am I the only one who thinks that this entire relationship is the brainchild of Mama and Papa Spears? While Britney’s still above-average as far as babes are concerned and rumored to be a real sweetheart in person, I can’t imagine why an agent would want anything to do with her romantically… or that his other clients are happy that he’s taking off to Australia to hang out with her instead of finding work for them. I’m just thinking that maybe, perhaps, most likely, this entire “relationship” is a set up.

You know, at first I was going to make fun of her and be all “Yeah, I’m sure you LOVE vacuuming, Cate. I’m sure that it’s really satisfying for you to ‘get down on the level of the people’ and ‘do normal things’.” I was going to be really flippant about it because my apartment is messy and I’m frustrated I can’t afford a cleaning service or figure out how to make things as nice as my mom or some other person with actual domestic skills would make them, but then I realized: I love that sound, too! Frankly, it’s the only reason worth cleaning!
I’ve never told anyone this and I sure hope my mom doesn’t read here, but this one time when I was a kid it was my job to vacuum the living room when no one was home and I was so satisfied by the sound of the little dirt particles getting sucked up that I dumped a box of love beads on the floor just so I could hear the sound of tiny little hard things being sucked up by a vacuum. I really could have broken the vacuum and that would have been a huge problem. I would have been grounded for life if I broke the vacuum, but I risked it because I wanted to hear that sound so badly.
Lady GaGa took a little tumble on stage last night at her show in Montreal, while performing “Teeth,” which is a totally amazing song off her new album. Seriously, if you haven’t heard her new album, The Fame Monster, go out and get it. All the new tracks are super-brilliant, but this one is my fave. (Do you recognize it from my Thanksgiving cooking video?) Anyway, the fall is around the 0:20 mark and it looks like it hurt! But she gets right back up and keeps shaking her ass.
It’s just one Idol album after another right now! Allison Iraheta — my second-fave of last season, although she placed fourth — is releasing her album, Just Like You, tomorrow. (It’s already available on iTunes.) You can catch the video for her first single, “Friday I’ll Be Over U,” above. And below find another single off the album, “Robot Love.”
I have to admit — I’m really disappointed. I feel like they took this phenomenal, versatile, nuanced singer and forced her into really cheesy teen-pop that doesn’t even begin to show off her capability. And my knee-jerk reaction is just to resent anyone who spells “You” as “U” in the title of a song. Like, you are not singing an instant message. It’s just a matter of time before Britney Spears comes out with a track called “You Make Me Angry >:( But I Will Still Bang You ;) Because You Have a Giant Penis 8========|)”
In fairness, I haven’t heard the whole album yet, but I’m already annoyed with whomever produced this crap. >:(
Katie Holmes was out in LA last night by herself at the Dizzy Feet Foundation’s Inaugural Celebration Of Dance, which is an awfully rare occurrence. Even rarer, she didn’t look completely miserable the whole time. No lies, I’ve been worried about Katie since she got Scientologized and like the rest of the world, can’t help but notice that she’s been looking like a zombie for the last two years. As rare as it to see her out alone, it’s even rarer to see her out alone, smiling and maybe even acting like the sillyheart we all knew and loved back in her Dawson’s days. Maybe some time away from Tom wouldn’t be all that bad for Kat.
