Nancy Grace is so awesome! She had a little chit last night with Mr. Douchon Gosselin (as he continues his media tour of discussing how he’s going to focus on his kids and their welfare), in which she really just asked what all of America wants to know: ”Why is everything about you?” Watch until the end. The look on Jon’s face is priceless.
I know I’m a couple days late on this one, but if you haven’t read Tyler Perry’s latest blog update detailing the extreme physical, emotional and sexual abuse he endured as a child, it’s a striking entry and worth reading all the way through. Kudos to Mr. Perry for being willing to speak about vulnerability, pain and forgiveness on a topic as taboo as it is debilitating, particularly among men.
If you can believe it, David Letterman confessing on live television that he had inappropriate relations with members of his staff actually had a positive impact on ratings. I know, I know. Total insanity. Letterman initially made the admission last Thursday, but then on Monday he returned to the topic, to apologize to his staff and his wife for all the drama this has caused. (Clip above.) It turned out to be ratings gold:
Some 5.7 million people tuned in on Monday to hear Letterman apologize to his wife and staff for his on-air revelations last week about his sexual affairs and an alleged blackmail plot.
That was a 36 percent increase over the audience for the “Late Show with David Letterman” on Monday last week, and a 19 percent jump on the 2009-2010 season-to-date average for the talk show of 4.8 million viewers, CBS said on Tuesday.
Show business newspaper Daily Variety noted that Monday’s Letterman ratings at 11:30 p.m. were higher than anything struggling NBC had on Monday in prime time, including its returning drama series “Heroes,” new medical series “Trauma” and “The Jay Leno Show” at its new 10 p.m. slot which pulled in 4.3 million viewers.
What’s funny is that no one other than his staff and his wife seems to actually be angry at Letterman for this. There’s been very little public outrage, at least none that I’ve really picked up on. Did everyone just kind of assume that Letterman was a philanderer anyway? Is it all okay since he stepped up to the plate and admitted his mistake — albeit only after being blackmailed? Or do we not expect our late-night funnymen to be moral compasses in the first place?
I’m kind of obsessed with these new shirtless Taylor Lautner pics from the New Moon illustrated companion book. I’m also kind of obsessed with the idea that New Moon has an illustrated companion book. Like, doesn’t it already have a companion book? Specifically, the one it was based on? Whatever, I’m not complaining. I’d just like to offer my services for the illustrated companion Guide to Having Sex with Taylor Lautner.
Upon hearing that his baby mama Nicole Richie was in a car crash yesterday, Joel Madden rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to be by her side. The two just had their second baby together, and while there’s no sign that the two will ever get hitched, they are one of the only Hollywood couples that seem free from rumors of infidelity and secretly hating each other.
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odem are still waiting to iron out their prenups once and for all before sealing the deal officially on their marriage. While the two were spotted yesterday at LAX before Khloe left town, Odem was spotted heading in to his lawyers office later that afternoon to take care of some serious paperwork.
While Lamar has yet to comment on the prenup (because, well, that’d be just straight up awkward), sources close to the baller say that he’s making sure that all assets that he acquires are 100% his. Frankly, I’m not so sure what’s wrong with that. Both have established their careers before they entered in to the relationship, and while Khloe certainly has a lot to gain from Lamar’s bank account, I doubt that losing him all together is worth any money she could potentially secure.
She. Is. Marvelous. Seriously marvelous. And super gorgeous. I am not generally a fan of short hair, on guys or girls (late ’90s men’s fashion was a nightmare for me, and I was only in middle school), but she looks so...
I would like to tell you that the term “retard” is very offensive to me. I am not offended because I ASSUME it would offend someone who has mental retardation. I am offened on how the word came to...
