One of the members of the Irish boy band “Boyzone” died in Spain yesterday while on vacation with his partner, Andrew. No details regarding his death have been released yet.

The singer was on the island of Majorca when he passed away and enjoying time alone with his boyfriend while he awaited the arrival of his bandmates.

I was a little bit too old to be in on the boy band craze by the time that Boyzone made it in the US, and the band actually broke up for several years, from 2000-2008, while the members broke off to make an attempt at solo careers. They reunited to much fanfare in their home country of Ireland, where they were undoubtedly celebrated the most. Just last year they released their greatest hits record, “Back Again … No Matter What”.

So Miley Cyrus deleted her Twitter this week and while she was initially quiet on the details, she has since made a rap music video explaining herself and now she’s taken to her website, MileyWorld.com and written a letter to her fans, who supposedly “feel abandoned”. Gross. Anyway, here’s the entire message:

To my dearest fans, You all are the closest thing to my heart & it breaks my spirit to hear that some of you feel neglected since I deleted my twitter. It was a wonderful way to stay connected to you & I really felt like during that time we became very much like friends. Twitter is a beautiful thing if used for the right reason. I love my job so much that it is hard to believe sometimes that it is considered working.

But, in the end it is still a business and I do need some sort of a ‘normal’ life as well. I often complain to the ones closest to me that I don’t seem to have much of a private life any more and part of that is my fault. How can I whine about my life being to public if I am the one telling the world what I am doing? Some things in my life need to say in my life only and not on some gossip site.

I never want any of my fans to feel like I don’t love them or care about them BUT, sharing the same love and respect for me I need to have the space to grow as a person and make some mistakes. I need to be able to live and learn in private. I never want to quit entertaining it is my life, my love, and my passion but I can’t have my personal life be other peoples entertainment.

Twitter is not the only thing I am cutting back on. This is not an attack against this particular site, I just think kids all over the world could maybe take a little vacation from Cyberspace. My problem with the internet is it makes negativity so available. It allows people to anonymously hurt others without any consequences.

That is not the real world. Not only that, but if we spent more time enjoying what we are doing besides tweeting about it, we would enjoy our lives a whole lot more. I have very little free time and the moments that I do have I should be spending with my family and friends and loving every minute of their company.

Now of course rumors have been started that Liam is the reason that I deleted my twitter. I hope my true fans know how stupid that is. I had mentioned to him that someone made a fake twitter with his name and we both starting chatting about how ridiculous it is. Liam is a wonderful friend and he did not try to make me delete my page, he just helped me realize how much time I was wasting on that site.

So while twelve year old girls with inappropriate amounts of computer access all over the world are hoarding OTC pain relievers and BIC razors in their bedrooms in an attempt to “end it” because they can no longer cyber-stalk their favorite star, Miley’s off, ya know, just bein’ Miley. Now seriously… we’ve heard enough.

This clip right here, taken from some random person’s TV (sorry it’s so crappy), shows an angle we didn’t see to the whole Lil Mama crashing Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ performance at the VMAs-incident until now. Apparently when Lil Mama started running up on stage, she was actually trying to pull a mortified looking Beyonce up with her, which officially makes Beyonce the second most victimized person of the 2009 VMAs (Taylor Swift obviously is taking first place on this one…) While Lil Mama’s actions were still completely ridiculous, I do find some comfort in knowing that she was just trying to “bring the party” by inviting herself and Bey up on stage as opposed to straight crashing as I think we all originally thought she was.

The adorable Rocco Ritchie was seen hanging out the Kaballah Center in NYC yesterday. We all know how much kids love kickin’ it at places of worship and Rocco looks like he might as well be waiting for his mother to finish trying on clothes in the dressing room at T.J. Maxx. Why, in New York City, on what is likely a glorious fall day, Rocco has to sit inside the Kaballah Center as opposed to running around in Central Park or buying rich kid things at the Apple Store or whatever the hell kids like doing this day, is as big of a mystery as what his mother’s been doing to keep her skin so tight.

Sharon Osbourne celebrated her 57th birthday last night at The Late Late Show with hubby Ozzy Osbourne. I know it can’t possibly be just me who thinks they are one of the most romantic couples ever. Sure, they’ve been through it between Ozzy’s drug problems, Sharon’s weight loss and cancer and their three troublesome kids, but I feel like the fact that they’re still so close and lovey dovey shows that none of that seems to matter two the two of them. Back in July of 2008 when Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman parted ways, it was rumored that Kimmel was rebounding with a member of his staff, Molly McNearney (pictured above picketing for the writer’s strike in Los Angeles.) The rumors were quickly denied by all involved in the story and it went away.

Thankfully, my mind is a vault for nearly useless information, because when I saw today on People.com that Kimmel is officially and publicly dating a member of his staff named– wait for it– Molly McNearney, I couldn’t help but put the two together. So do you think those interludes of Sarah and Jimmy dating again were a farce and/or appreciated by his girlfriend of a year? I would think not.

However, sources close to the pair say that they seem to be doing well and that they are “really happy together”. Awesome for them, but doesn’t a talk show host hookin’ up with a young, blond staff member sound slightly familiar? The source assures People that, unlike Letterman and his broad, “during work hours, they keep things professional.”

One paragraph I found troubling in the People story was this:

McNearney, 31, who first joined the show’s staff as an assistant to the executive producer in July 2003, began writing on the show in 2006, and was promoted to her current position as co-head writer in May 2008

Uhhh, from assistant to co-head writer in only six years? I guess that happens from time to time, but that sounds like an awfully quick sprint through the ranks to me. Perhaps these two have had a little somethin’ somethin’ going on for longer than they admit to?
