I hope you’re all getting into some debauchery tonight. Like I said earlier, it’s the one night of the year when you can dress like a slut, a freak, or a creep, and people won’t think you’re insane or hold you accountable. It’s just like living in Hollywood.
Celebs are taking advantage of the same opportunity. Katie Couric was spotted sporting this year’s ubiquitous Kate Gosselin costume while the hosts of the Today Show went the Luke & Leia route. Fashion designer Michael Kors dressed in a detailed hippie costume while designer Valentino (above) dressed up as an Oompah Loompah. Oh wait… that’s not a costume.
Would someone please tell me what the hell Martha Stewart and Mickey Rourke are supposed to be? I tried to figure out their costumes, but the best I could come up with was “tree trunk” and “Mickey Rourke.”
Katie Couric actually does (somewhat) look like Kate Gosselin with her hair like that, only she is a much sexier MILF , I think.
She doesn’t have the obligatory scowl though.

Bette Midler looks like the glorious Mae West … or the parody version of Lili Von Shtupp[Madeline Kahn] in Blazing Saddles.
How could a man, Valentino who has been a arbitrator of taste for decades look in the mirror before he leaves his home and not realize how ridiculous he looks – it’s not even close to the color of skin anywhere on this planet, just on him.
Martha’s getup is some sort of Where the Wild Things Are thing. She wore it on her show, and the show was themed with costumes based on that book/movie.
Star Wars on the Today Show (Matt/Meredith)- yawn.

Her costume is so trocherous and ugly if she came up to me and tried to shake my hand I would’ve ran really fast away from her and left her looking crazy. But I guess Happy Halloween!!
