Stephanie Pratt got a DUI recently and according to her, it’s not her fault. She thinks that she was set up by her brother Spencer, who is desperate to keep The Hills on the air. Stephanie claims that Spencer was encouraging her to drink at sister-in-law Holly Montag’s birthday party the night of the arrest. She’d been watching her intake exactly for the reason that she was afraid of getting pulled over and says that Spencer and MTV producers were the ones who kept telling her to pound another drink down. Once Stephanie left the club, where there were already officers parked outside, and didn’t get twenty yards in her vehicle before she heard sirens.
While Stephanie’s story is actually slightly believable, it seems unlikely that Spencer, MTV and the Los Angeles Police Department were all willing to do this to Stephanie. Not only does she already have a record, but it just seems over the top, even for The Hills. While Stephanie did blow just barely over the legal limit, making it a fair arrest, wouldn’t the LAPD catch some unneeded flack for their involvement in such a stunt? Beside, isn’t Holly supposed to be the alcoholic?
Besides, even if she is being fed alcohol, isn’t it still her responsibility to NOT DRIVE???

Okay..In my DUI incident, the police were all over the place as usual. In Tennessee, where i live, the lady cops are the ones who patrol the clubs n hot spots. Therefore, they can legally only search other bitches. They are known for only pulling the female drivers over even inches outside of the parking gates. I had had my brand new Avenger installed with a complete Blaupunkt stereo system and Protocol rims the day before. Therefore, I was not going to leave my baby overnight to allow some idiot to take my hard earnings. I had reserved a room at the Hilton being that it was not even 2 blocks from our club scene. I was pulled over not even 10 ft. from the gates, given the standard sobriety tests and only failed the line walk being that i was in Stilettoes! Dancing for 3 1/2 hours then had to walk a straight line in high heels..Not fair..None-the-less, that footage was used against me.
This being said: Do not plan to drink then drive..Also, never go to clubs where there are only femmes patroling..Bad Days ahead, if so…BUT Most IMPORTANTLY: DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE!! 2 beers on and empty stomach is: really not cool..2 shots on and empty stomach: Dumb..2 mixers without food: STUPID!..And, never ever drink when ur ‘friends’ are encouraging it!!! They most likely want you to fail esp. when they know no one drove you. Friends are not always friendly….
So were you over the legal limit? Or was it really just the heels?
It seems like if it was your heels you could’ve taken them off and done it barefoot. Or demanded a blood alcohol test to prove you were sober.
If you are not given a blood alcohol content reading in most states and instead given the straight line test, you can demand another form of testing.
if the club was two blocks away from the hotel, why didn’t you just leave your car parked at the parking garage and walk back?

Yeah, you probably shouldn’t drive around lower Broad / downtown if you’re drunk, considering it’s saturated with cops patrolling specifically for DUIs. Doh!
The best way to avoid a DUI is to plan ahead. If you’re worried about your car and you’re the kind of person who’s willing to pay for a night at the Hilton, leave your ride at the hotel & take a cab to the club, OR don’t wear stupid shoes and WALK the two blocks.
If you’re more “frugal” like me, agree to meet with your friends @ someone’s house that’s fairly close to downtown and share a cab to the club & back.
Of course, none of this would be an issue if Nashville could just get some decent mass transit. I haven’t looked up the statistics, but I bet DUI rates go waaaaaay down if there’s a decent form of public transportation available.
Who gives a shit if they were encouraging her to drink? No one forced her to get behind the wheel. She’s rich enough to get a driver. Idiot.
I favor she is following the lie when caught illegally ‘pissed’ rules of parasite and firecrouch, throwing anyone under the bus to get by and stay the same morontitus., there are so many others who do this, might be evily tricking me to stupid acts; but she should stay with same sex ‘Look, we’re not a freaky over-judgemental crazy just young once, opps I might kill someone or myself tee hee over-indulgent social group, catagory really.
Sadly there is probably some truth to this story.
MTV has sunk so low in their need to make these awful scripted shows into train wrecks. I would not be surprised at all, if she got set up.
So now those god fearing *coughbullshitcouch* Christians (the couple whom shall not be named) can pray for Stephanie. And MTV can be their to film it all for a very special episode.
I wouldn’t be shocked if some of what she said was true. Wouldn’t the police have to respond to any calls about potential drunk driving regardless of who the person was? Seems easy enough to get her arrested if she willingly drove while slightly over the legal limit.
Who gives a rats ass if she was fed booze all night or if she was setup. She’s a f’ing adult!!! You go to a party, HAIL A CAB asshat, and you can drink whatever you want!!!
I’m so tired of this excuse making bullshit everyone makes when they get a DUI. How many thousands upon thousands of people die every year because some asshole is drunk behind the wheel? Enough already! I just don’t understand why people aren’t shamed out of driving drunk!
