i hate the term “cougar” too but I love Cougartown. It’s really hardly been about her and younger dudes – she just got divorced and has a teenage son and realized she never really lived in her 20′s because of having a baby when she was 22. She is super wacky and I totally love her. She will do anything for a laugh and reminds me of her Monica days. I’d watch at least the first episode and see what you think

I’ve watched all the episodes and at least for me, courtney’s acting is over the top and not believable. I don’t know why I keep watching it, maybe it’s for the son and the hot neighbor that you know she’s going to hook up with.

    Her body is H-O-T, though.

FORTY-FIVE?? Fuck me she looks absolutely fucking awesome.

It grows on you… I’m beginning to love it! Plus the neighbor is H-O-T ;-)

Her name is actually spelled COURTENEY Cox, people always forget the E! This is my name too and it drives me nuts.

Hm, you contradict yourself on every level in this post. To say the show Cougartown is sexist, then in the next paragraph say (i will give you the benefit of the doubt you were joking) that “women over 30 should yadda blahblahblah…”

if you were not joking, then politely scr*w you. No offense of course.

Did the drug smuggling reference not do it for you? This couldn’t have been more obviously a joke had Kelly typed “joke” in parentheses, and followed it up with smiley faces.

Bring your family and kids while filming.. studio pays for security,.. food sitter and teacher, medical, place to relax and etc.’s

Kids? Coco, Birdie and Daisy? With those names, I thought they were referring to a group of strippers, chihuahuas or elderly lunchroom ladies.

I thought that show was going to be lame (I hate the term cougar too) but yeah turns out I really like it

Hell, once you hit thirty, you’re not supposed to exist- in movies (Sex and the City) or anywhere else. On a positive note, we only have to suffer Paris Hilton for three more years.

You do realize that a great many of today’s most popular/best paid paid/most bankable (not always the same, across the board) Hollywood female movie stars/leading ladies are thirty-plus?
(Reese Witherspoon, Katherine Heigl, Renee Zellweger, Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, Kate Beckinsale, Naomi Watts, Drew Barrymore, Jodie Foster, Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz, Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep, Kate Winslet, Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Hilary Swank, Charlize Theron, Penelope Cruz, Sarah Jessica Parker, Diane Lane, etc.)
That’s not say that there isn’t age-ism in Hollywood, and in American society.

      • Bee Hind says:

Yes I do, and you make a great point. I get tired of watching 40 something men married to 20 something women in movies and TV. If women over thirty are sexual, they’re “cougars”. When there’s a mention of “Sex and the City” filming in blogs, the comments about “Hags and the City”, Geritol jokes, and AARP discounts abound. I think one of the reasons the movie did so well (not that it was a great movie plot wise) was because there isn’t anything like it. Imagine, a show about four women in their 40′s!

I would rather watch Meryl Streep in an infomerical, than Megan Fox in anything. As much as Hollywood would like to believe, youth is not king.
