Filmmaker Roman Polanski showed up in Switzerland to accept an award at the Zurich Film Festival, but wound up getting some cuffs slapped on him instead. For those of you who don’t know, Polanski has been running from the law since 1978 after he drugged and raped a 13 year old girl at Jack Nicholson’s house in 1977. The 76 year-old director was picked up at the airport once the Swiss police were made aware of his arrival and  is facing possible extradition to the United States to be tried for his crime.

Sophie Monk Nipple Slip

Australian actress Sophie Monk went to a private beach in SoCal today in a super scandalous little swimsuit. While she managed to keep her top on for most of the morning, she did experience a pretty major nipple slip, which looked fairly intentional as she left it out while making eyes at the paps near by. For the moneyshots, check out the gallery below and don’t say I didn’t warn you that they are most definitely NSFW.

Gossip Girl actress Kelly Rutherford has had a tough week after having to get a restraining order against her ex-husband, Daniel Giersch. While she definitely has a more public break up on her hands than most of us will ever have to experience, her ways of coping aren’t all that different than ours. Turns out she’s seeking comfort from her mom, who helped show her support by sending her a copy of the perennial girl-power jam “Fighter” by Christina Aguilera, which she mistakenly called “Stronger”.  Rutherford attended a brunch in NYC on Saturday and spoke with People Magazine about her recovery saying, “My mom’s been through it too. I mean, not in the way that I’m going through it, but she understands. She is hysterical. She sent me that Christina Aguilera song “Stronger” and that’s when I’m laughing and crying at the same time, like, ‘Mom, I love you!’”

Rutherford is keeping a positive attitude throughout this whole ordeal and even sees it as an opportunity to help others who may be going through the exact same thing. She was quoted as saying, “I have it very lucky even though in my personal life right now I’m going through a very challenging time. I do know that there are women that I can help somehow because they’re going through a much tougher time.”

I have to say that it’s refreshing to hear a celebrity cop to the fact that their problems aren’t the biggest in the world. Rutherford is right about the fact that her money and fame will likely make this process easier on her than most new moms who go through a trying divorce, and I hope that after she’s had time to clean up her own life she’ll be spending time with various charities who help women who aren’t as lucky as she is.

Paris' Pair

Paris Hilton couldn’t keep her eyes off of her prizes after dinner with her boyfriend Douglas Reinhardt last night. The normally flat-chested celebretard seemed to be packing much more up top than usual and while normally these things can be attributed to a really good push-up bra, I’m wondering if Paris even had enough to push up before. Unless she’s just discovered the wonders of a good Wonderbra, homegirl most likely just bought herself a new pair of breasticles. It makes sense, too. Paris has been receiving noticeably less press lately and obvious plastic surgery is a classic move celebs use to garner attention. While it’s not exactly clear if that’s what she did, I wouldn’t put it past the girl made famous for a sex tape.

OK, so I’ll tell you up front that this is a bit. I’m gullible and I always watch these things and think they are real and then I get all “Oh my God, why are they so hostile? Why is everyone a jerk?” and then feel super betrayed when I find out later that they’re just a publicity stunt. But maybe that’s just me. Regardless, this video made to promote Matt Damon’s charity, OneXOne.org is a really fun watch.

The set up is that Damon stops on to the Entourage set to film promos for OneXOne. He’s directing Adrian, who keeps messing up his lines. Things get heated and Matt goes off. At one point, Jeremy Piven steps in wearing full Ari gear and tries to calm Damon down to no avail. It’s pretty great.

I really wish that Wendie was here to cover this because I know that she deserves to be able to break you this news, but Mischa Barton’s new show the The Beautiful Life was canceled after only two episodes. Two. That’s gotta be preeeeetty bad. I can’t give you a real opinion on the show because, like most of America, I didn’t bother to watch it. Only 1.1 viewers tuned in on Wednesday to catch the second ep, resulting in the CW announcing on Friday that they were calling the whole thing off. To fill the slot, CW will be re-airing episodes of their remake drama, Melrose Place.

I’m sure the news comes as a shock to Mischa who seemed to think that this show was particularly prolific and who has recently had a harder go than usual, what with the whole “mental breakdown” thing. Tough go, lady.
