In college I used to do this thing where I’d make a bunch of that melty nacho cheese stuff from a jar and then get stoned with my friends and pass out watching Degrassi: The Next Generation on The N. It probably sounds like there’s a lot of problems with that scenario, but really the only thing that ever got to me was that I’d often wake up around the time that The N turned back in to Noggin and I’d be stuck to my chair watching those Lisa Loeb music videos she made for babies like the one above. I would sit there all, “Lisa Loeb doesn’t even have kids. What’s wrong with her? Why would she be writing music like this?” And then I’d fall back asleep until it was time to go to a theology class or something.

Today when it was announced that Lisa Loeb is expecting with her muisc supervisor hubby, I got all excited. Finally! Finally Lisa has an excuse to sing about cows saying “moo” and brushing your teeth before bed! Finally the day has come! Lisa and Roey Hershkovitz will be greeting their baby for the first time at some point this winter. Congratulations, you crazy kids.

Actors Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel are the proud new parents of a baby boy.  In a rare stroke of Hollywood kindness, they have given their son a completely and totally normal name — Walker.

This is the first child for this genetically blessed couple that met in the 1996 Broadway production of Rent.  Congrats to the happy couple!

Sex and the City 2

Sarah Jessica Parker, Chris Noth, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall are all back in their comfort zone: New York City. This time it’s for the filming of Sex and the City: The Movie 2 or whatever the hell they’re calling this thing. While we showed you a preview of Carrie’s completely horrific 80s Flashdance flashback style, I’m am happy to say that the style is not going to dominate the film. In fact, I rather like the purple dress and red bag combo that you can check out Carrie rocking in the gallery. We have yet to see any shots of Kristen Davis, but what we have so far is a great start…

The Jayde Nicole vs. Joe Francis battle is heating up and now even more evidence is coming in. Jayde shared a link on her Twitter last night to the 911 calls that were placed at Guys and Dolls by two separate people, one a man and one a woman. The calls don’t sound like they were made by Brody or Jayde, but the person on the phone seems desperate to have a sheriff come down so they can press charges.

While quite a bit of news supporting Joe’s claim that he did not hit Jayde and that she’s exaggerating the entire incident (such as security camera footage from the bar), Jayde is still maintaining that she was attacked and has been complaining on her Twitter that she’s in a great deal of pain still and even had to miss her boyfriend’s birthday.

So, in light of recent domestic violence stories in the news and keeping in mind that we’re dealing with a trio of famewhoring nobodies, who do you think telling the truth?

Sarah Jessica Parker was caught filming one of her first scenes for the Sex and the City movie sequel dressed like this. I have a strong feeling that Carrie is having a flashback to her days when she just arrived in New York, which any real fan will tell you supposedly happened when the character was eighteen. Why oh why they have middle-aged SJP playing a 25 years+ younger version of herself is beyond me. This image, though. It really kicks that horrible ill-fitted wedding dress with a bird in the hair combo’s ass in the ugly contest.

After his last bout of press from attending the Teen Choice Awards with the hilarious Kathy Griffin, Levi Johnston clearly felt his star was fading because instead of just slipping in to obscurity like he’s supposed to, he’s now dishing to Vanity Fair about all kinds of scandalous crap going down in the Palin household.

Johnston touches on some hot topics and while not much of this is a surprise, it’s interesting to hear Palin inside information from someone who’s actually been inside of a Palin. Oh God, that was gross. Sorry.

Here are some choice quotes pulled from People.com:

  • On Sarah and Todd’s parenting skills: “Even before she was nominated, there wasn’t much parenting in that house. Sarah doesn’t cook, Todd doesn’t cook – the kids would do it all themselves: cook, clean, do the laundry, and get ready for school. Most of the time Bristol would help her youngest sister with her homework, and I’d barbecue chicken or steak on the grill.”
  • On the possibility of a divorce: “There was a lot of talk of divorce in that house … times when Sarah and Todd would mention it and sound pretty serious.”
  • On Sarah giving up on her role as Alaska’s governor: “A week or two after she got back she started talking about how nice it would be to quit and write a book or do a show and make ‘triple the money.’ She would blatantly say, ‘I want to just take this money and quit being governor.’ “
  • On Sarah wanting to adopt Bristol’s baby: “That way, she said, Bristol and I didn’t have to worry about anything. Sarah kept mentioning this plan. She was nagging – she wouldn’t give up. She would say, ‘So, are you gonna let me adopt him?’ I think Sarah wanted to make Bristol look good, and she didn’t want people to know that her 17-year-old daughter was going to have a kid.”

While giving away private family details and conversations only further proves that Levi isn’t Mensa material, it is interesting to think about how much the Palin family must have alienated him in order for him to speak out so publicly. There is already an on-going battle for Levi to spend time with his child, and sharing these details, in his mind, must have been worth further risking his ability to see his son.
