Do I Need to Start Watching Glee?

Glee seems to be one of the new shows that everyone is talking about and I’m wondering if I missed the boat on not seeing it from the start.  Is it a show I can jump into at any time?  I’m not into the vampire trend at all so True Blood and Vampire Diaries are not my thing, but a high school glee club?  Genius!

Here’s a musical number from last night’s episode and no, Kanye did not interrupt to say that Beyonce’s version was better.

  • I watched this show on a whim, having briefly been part of the drama scene in college. Most of my friends work in some aspect of the theater, and I’ve always loved a good show tune. I’m already hooked. I think it has something to offer many different demographics and can bring together people of very opposing views (i.e. my sister and myself). I would have joined glee club… had I been able to sing.

  • I LOVE Glee!! I started watching the pilot last week and three hours later had watched the first three episodes back to back. It’s ridiculously good. You can find it on Hulu…

  • High-school drama meets Top40esque show choir. I’m definitely hooked.

My favorite aspect so far is that it is tackling semi-serious subject matter in the LEAST serious way possible. It is so over the top it’s worth a watch.

  • I absolutely love Glee. I watched last night and I laughed so hard I cried…twice. It is fantastic in every single way.

  • you can watch all the episodes on hulu.com, and the pilot is still up too

and it is AMAZING you should DEF be watching lol

  • I find the show extremely entertaining. Watch all of the episodes on fox.com without a problem (college campus internet is AWFUL, so normally I’m not able to watch anything online.) But I would totally either jump in or take a few days to catch up online.

  • Wendie, I love love loveeeee Glee. It makes me laugh out loud, through each episode so far. The cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester is just perfect, and the Glee Club coach is a slightly goofier Sam Tyler (RIP, Life on Mars). The song-and-dance routines are fantastic; all-in-all, a great new show. Hulu.com, baby!

  • Glee is absolutely amazing. best new show this year. vampire diaries is full of epic fail and i love twilight and trueblood. dont bother watching it.

  • We watched the pilot all summer long and we were so happy when the season started. Though it’s a bit sassy at times for the kids (7&9) we all watch it together as a family. They have a GREAT cast and so far, each show has been funnier than the rest.

    • It was probably one of the few musical episodes that didn’t jump the shark, but the whole vampire slayer meets demon thing was sort of the modus operandi for the show.

  • if you just watch the pilot online youll be fine, but you really should find them all, thats omly the fourth episode. GLEE RULES

  • Glee does rule. Like someone else said they tackle some big issues but it’s obviously a musical type land so they can just be ridiculous about everything and it works.

Plus Jane Lynch is in it and she rules. Glee stole her away from ‘Party Down’ (hysterical! I think the best comedy on TV right now) on Starz, which you should also check out through Netflix. So the show better be good if they are gonna take her away!!

Another good reason to start watching, KRISTIN FREAKIN CHENOWETH is gonna do a spot next week and who doesn’t love her? So yeah, Hulu it up and sit back and enjoy the ride. :)

  • my friend has been non-stop talking about this show for the past month! this clip cracked me up! thanks wendie :) I am definetly going to check out the episodes on hulu…thanks to the other commenters for the tip

  • Def watch it. The pilot is the best episode to date. Just catch up somewhere online. It will be worth the effort!!!

  • ahhh Glee is amazing!!! love love love x a thousand, and this coming from someone who hardly ever watches television.

  • In Mexico we just had a preview/sneak peak or whatever about a week ago…I was sure it would be something worth watching….thanks for the confirmation. The show rocks!!
