I wanted to live blog The Beautiful Life. Thank God I didn’t. I could only tolerate a few minutes before I started screaming and clawing at my skin. I said that Mischa’s acting was so horrible that it made me want to die. I ended up in an involuntary 5150 even though I wasn’t like those other people. I was really just feeling overwhelmed and it was all silly and overblown.
Now, some of you think I’m a little harsh on Mischa’s appearance and maybe that’s true. But her acting is so ohmyfuckinggodsobad. I’m going to be merciful and tell you to just go to 1:20 to see the brilliance of Mischa. At first I thought she was doing a nasal coke addict voice. Then itprogressed into some sort of British nasal coke addict voice. I don’t know who made the casting decision — I’d imagine Ashton Kutcher — but she’s really, really bad. Like, “read off a teleprompter” type bad. Someone needs to strip this girl’s SAG card immediately if not sooner.
She was just as bad on the OC.
I went to Las Vegas 2 weeks ago and while walking around the Planet Hollywood Mall this guy came up to me and my friend and said “Hey would you ladies be interested in watching a promo for a new show and take a survey about it afterwards? you get paid 10 dollars” We were pretty drunk and said yeah. So we go in, sit down and they start it. It’s The Beautiful Life. They showed us the whole first episode, I wanted to die,SO BAD. The survey asked us questions about the actors and the concept of the show. One of the questions said “what didn’t you like about The Beautiful Life?” and I wrote,”It’s nothing new and Mischa’s acting is horrible” I was kinda rooting for this girl too, and then I saw this.
Meant to write Pilot* not Promo. whoops.
They only paid you $10!!?? That sucks! It should’ve been a hundred, at least!
AND it was 45 minutes long, I thought we were going to watch 15 minutes or something. They had some lasagna tasting thing right after and they were paying people 25 bucks. Lol, we get paid more to eat lasagna than watch Mischa.

Wow, this could possibly be the artistic vehicle that garners Mischa the Emmy consideration she so richly deserves. NOT!!!! Wendie, just what did you expect from The CW network??? You might hate Mischa with every fiber of your being but if I had the opportunity I would bang the hell out of her.
I made it through 30 minutes or so and then just had to turn it off. I wanted it to be good, sudsy, trashy tv (especially since the new Melrose Place is so bad and the new 90210 is pathetic) but it was just kind of. . .bad. Maybe if everyone didn’t take themselves so seriously and just gave into the camp it would be better?
The amount of hot guys definitely saved the show for me :)
Haha. I recorded it and watched about 10 mintues until I couldn’t take it anymore. Wendie is right – Mischa’s “acting” was atrocious. Anyway, so I ended up fast forwarding it so I could stare at that one model….I forget his name in the show but he plays the stuck up one. Cole? Despite his hotness I will not be watching this again.

Ok… I liked it. I only saw these 8 minutes and I wanted to see more.
I definitely don’t like the new 90210 or Melrose Place – but I did enjoy the OC in the early years (and I mean early).
Plus, I am Australian so I am used to ‘The Body’s bad acting…

well i liked TBL too, i mean mischa was definitly bad but it was bearible, besides the main girl is reallly pretty and eventhough she is a cliche being the sweet girl i liked her.
and i reaally like the new 90210!!!
Ugh. Awful!!! Everyone else sucked at acting almost as much as Mischa…
wow… It’s so bad. If it were a parody i could understand… first iI just thought that it might be just a very, very bad script but omg…. and the soft lighting, the camera angles, the zooming in on peoples faces… If feels like something from the 90ties.

I forget what his name is but the creator/producer/someone I can’t remember of the OC always has the “hot girl” who can’t act. For the OC is was Mischa and for Gossip Girl, it’s Blake Lively. I always have to mute it when she comes on.
Aw, you cut it off right when it was getting good. who cares about Mischa, the other characters are good- Mischa’s not evben the main character anyway. Give it a shot already- Mischa’s playing a part- I think it’s a pretty good show.

I really liked it!! I don’t really care much for Mischa, I think she did allright but her charecter isn’t that far from her reality… talk about type cast! I really loved Sara Paxton though! I will def. be watching next episode.
