Jessica Simpson’s Still Searching for Her Dog

daisy

Ugh, my heart just breaks for Jessica Simpson, whose little Maltipoo Daisy went missing on Monday after being snatched by a coyote. I relate to this on so many levels. First, I had a dog die about a year and a half ago, and it was one of the most upsetting and stressful experiences of my life. I have my little Leo now, and he makes my life so happy, and I can’t imagine losing him. Second, when I was a little girl living in Arizona, we had an outdoor cat named Jingles who was wandering around in the desert and got eaten by coyotes. That was another very horrible experience. So I understand what Jessica’s going through right now, and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

Even though “experts” are predicting the dog is no longer alive, Jessica continues to hold out hope, posting on her Twitter: “Still holding out hope despite the assholes that say is it a dumb thing to do. Daisy is my baby…why would I stop searching? I’m a mom.” Amen, sister. You can’t just give up that easily on your baby!

Us Magazine reports that Jessica is working with a pet-finding service called FindToto to try to bring Daisy home. I know the odds are slim, but I really hope she can get her baby back. My prayers are with you, Jessica!

  • Oh man, that is so sad. No pet deserves that. Our beautiful cat Bella dissapeared about a year ago. We’re still hoping that she’s found a family that had a better brand of kibble going than we did and got herself an upgrade. We loved her so much.

Our new baby (Cookie – see the picture to the left!) has made our family complete again, but nothing could replace the first furry Nazi that ran our lives. Poor Jessica. Pets are part of the family and that’s how it should be. Beet- RIP Jingles, she’s (he’s?) chasing the big yarn ball in the sky now.

    • Awww Cookie is so cute! and what an adorable name! I’m an animal lover too and if in the same position, I’d still hire a pet finding service like Jessica did. It’s too early to give up. I watched my dog get hit by a car (luckily she lived) so I know the agony she’s in. Poor thing :(

    • I’m sneezing after seeing your new cat. I can’t say if I would have had the same response with Bella. Achoo!!!

  • Perhaps the Good Witch of the North can offer Jessica Simpson some sage advice. But even with the help of the Tin Man, Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion Daisy’s unfortunately not going to safely make it back to Kansas.

  • Okay…Im a bigger animal lover than people lover and I would literally DIE if I saw that happen to my animal. I am also not a fucking idiot who would torture myself by holding out hope that for some reason the coyote decided to change its hungry mind and let the dog out of its teeth for a second.
Sge is quite frankly one of the dumbest celebrities, or people for that matter, out there. A coyote ate her dog. Period. There is no way that dog is still alive! How could she not know that!
Her dog did not deserve it but its mother nature. When humans encroach on the habitat of wild animals guess what…they eat our pets. Sad but true.

  • I can’t even imagine how horrific it must have been to see the dog taken away like that.

We do not have children so our dogs are our “babies”. I can empathize with her and only wish her the most positive thoughts.

  • I love my cat and my dog more than anything, but if I saw a coyote snatch my Chloe, I’d assume the worst. Jessica is claiming Daisy is ‘fast’ so she could have gotten away, but that dog barely walked on her own because she was carried everywhere, and she’s no match for a coyote that hunts to keep itself alive.

I hate that she lost her dog, but girl is seriously dumber than shit.

  • It’s a pity and everything but seriously, if she witnessed the dogs getting pulled off by a hungry coyote…. it’s pretty much a done deal… I doubt her “carmel”-coloured (wtf is carmel by the way???) Maltipoo has the killer drive to fight off a hungry attacker.

  • and who let’s their dog be “carried away” right in front of their eyes? if i obviously saw my dog being physically taken by a coyote “right in front of my eyes” i would do anything to tackle that asshole down. come on now. and as sad as it is, it sounds like she’s in a bit of denial.

  • i read that halle berry had not one but two little dogs taken by coyotes. now why the fuck would you let your maltese or some other tiny breed wander around the yard without a leash?? especially if you live where there are coyotes?? and let it happen not once but TWICE? dumb.

  • i hate simpson and i hope she rots in hell…on a lighter note…hope that coyote didnt come back into her yard and take a fat dump…having clean up your dog in the form of shit is too ironic to deal with.

  • this sucks. I can’t even believe that she witnessed that. Where was she when she saw this happen!? That just seems crazy. I’d run so fucking fast after that beast and I would risk rabid coyote bites in order to save my animal. NOTHING would stop me. I once kicked a coyote in the mouth when it startled me on my back porch (felt kinda bad after but it scared the shit out of me). To the people making jokes about this happening- it is no laughing matter. Poor innocent animal.

  • Reality-check: owning a dog does NOT make you a mom! You are a pet owner. Heaven forbid if she became a mom, then she would have to grow up and stop being a self-absorbed baby.

  • That is really sad. I have cats but I can’t imagine how horrible it would be if something like that happened. Unfortunately, I don’t think she’ll be getting her dog back though…

  • What a sick bunch of bastards you are! and you who left the inappropriate comments know who you are. I hope no poor animal ever has you as a pet owner as you inhumane without any presence of a heart or soul.
I pity the scene played before her eyes when the dog was grabbed by a coyote. My deepest sympathy; I have been horrified over this event ever since I heard it.
I am very Sorry Jessica. You took the best care of Daisy and she was adorable.
