#3590398 T.R. Knight made his way to pal Katherine HeiglÃs home in Los Angeles, California on September 12, 2009. Radar reports that 10-month old Naleigh is safe and sound at home with her new mom and dad. T.R. is a good friend of HeiglÃs from the show he just left ìGreyÃs Anatomyî and might just get the honor of being a god father to Naleigh. Her cast members have been showing up to the home for the past couple of days but she has not left the home in a while, which make one believe the little one has arrived for sure.

yea, i was thinking the same thing. just because they aren’t biologically mother and daughter doesn’t mean you should make fun of her kid. some of my friends were adopted and it’s a struggle for them because they want to identify with both their adoptive and biological parents. it’s a real identity crisis and shouldn’t be made fun of
i’m not a big fan of katherine heigl, but i think she is doing a great thing by adopting a child. hopefully, the experience will make her more humble and less diva-ish!

No kidding. The term “mail-order” is so derogatory. She might not be the most likable person, but this adoption was a pretty wonderful thing to do, and seemingly, she didn’t even do it for media attention. Why dismiss that?
The sad thing is Katherine is an absolute sweetheart who has been vilified by the press and labelled a whiner and an ingrate. She isn’t anything of the sort. She in my experience is very genuine and down to earth person. Too honest for her own good sometimes perhaps but never mean or malicious.
i agree, molls. that comment was unnecessary. mail-order baby?? you know, maybe she can’t have children naturally. maybe she and her husband have tried for a loooong long time with IUIs and IVFs and have done everything in their power to have a child and they just couldn’t. That baby is a person and it will bring them joy and love and they will give the little one a home and a loving family that she probably wouldn’t not have had otherwise. Mail-order baby? I was a big fan of yours until right now, Molls. At least Wendie would never say something like that!
I don’t know where the “‘Leigh’ for short” business started re: the baby’s name. According to Katherine Heigl on Ellen yesterday, they are naming the baby “Nancy Leigh” (after Heigl’s mother and sister), and her nickname is “Naleigh.”
KP33 – No she is naming it Naleigh not Nancy Leigh..it just comes from her mothers name and I guess her sisters middle name..since her sister is called Meg she said. The thing about “Leigh” came from the Radar online article – they broke the story a few days before Katherine was on Ellen.
Radar Online broke the story on Wednesday after being tipped off by someone who attended the Ellen show taping (yes, the interview was taped two days before it aired). The snitch got his/her info mixed up. What Heigl said on Ellen is accurate; what Radar Online printed is not.
I was watching a rerun of frasier the other night, one of the best shows ever by the way, and T.R knight was on it! It surprised me and made me laugh! It was when Frasier opened his private practice again and every patient ran out on him! Total hilarity! So weird how you see someone now compared to their earlier days!
I am always amazed how no one cares to realize… that this is a place for fun and gossip. A snarky post about a whiny actress… is why I come here.

If you really want to be offended go to Dlisted. Where Micheal K. will really give you something legit to be offended about.
Yet, I love his site too… with all his crazy offensive posts. And never any whiners about his lack of sensitivity.

i agree this is supposed to be a fun gossipy website, but you shouldn’t make fun of children. that’s just wrong. the whole adoption process is very emotional and personal for the parents and child, and it should be respected not made fun of.
and yes, she is a blogger, so she should be aware of un-PC comments that she writes. would it be okay for her to use the N-Word, spic, chink, hymie, etc? No, of course they wouldn’t use these words because they are offensive, and saying “mail order baby” is offensive to adoptive children!

i just watched the ellen interview on youtube. she seemed surprisingly likeable.
“Mail Order Baby”…really? I though all those jokes were played out with Angelina. Move on.
