This is just semantics, but my boyfriend is Asian and is allergic to alcohol, but he still drinks — so when he says he’s allergic, he means that he has a very, very low tolerance and bad things happen when he drinks too much, which is what I assume Tila was trying to say. Which isn’t any better, since in that case she would be making excuses for her actions based on her allergy, instead of taking responsibility for being an asshole.
Unfortunately, the term ‘allergy’ has be taken so out of context by the layman in general that no one really gets what a real allergy is.

I don’t believe her. However, this article seems to assume that the fact that she was drunk – and he wasn’t – completely disproves the abuse charge. Yes, she’s a total famewhore, but what kind of logical jump is it to say “she lied about drinking, therefore her boyfriend couldn’t have abused her”? I’m hoping that this is just because of your hatred for her, and that if it were any other person, you wouldn’t automatically draw the same conclusions.

How ironic that she would keep a nickname that very obviously links her to alcohol if she claims she cannot drink it? And if her claims are, in fact, true, then what’s with all this association with alcohol on A Shot at Love, MTV?

The semantics issue may be a fair one, as Alison G points out. But that does not change how steadfast she is on one hand about never drinking and then she is often seen consuming alcohol.
As Wendie said, a possible lie about a low tolerance for alcohol (not technically an allergy) does not mean she would lie about an assault. However, it does mean that doubt was cast on a report that started sympathetically about a “domestic violence” incident. This whole thing goes toward making it harder for all the women who have to follow behind her, and try to be taken seriously.

I tweeted her about how shes a lying sack. She claims she got her name Tequila because she was 13 and her friends made her do shots and she threw up everywhere so they called her Tila Tequila. But then she tweeted that she got the name Tequila because she’s allergic? She’s a grade A moron! But now her tweets are protected because she figured that people know she’s lying so she’s hiding her shit up. PS. Her real name is not Tila, not even close.
