The Gosselin sextuplets boarded the bus for the first time with their older siblings, Cara and Mady who are starting third grade today. Earlier in the week, the six younger children were accompanied to school by both Jon and Kate who left them at their pre-Kindergarten class where they will spend three days a week learning simple math, mastering the alphabet and probably getting harrassed by other students because their family is such a freak show.

The truth is, the sextuplets are a year behind in school. They’re five, which should mean that they are entering regular kindergarten, but Jon reported that they are slow to start because they were prematurely born. Yeah, and it probably helped to have them at home while filming a television show about them.

Mischa Barton got out of the mental ward and on to the set of The Beautiful Life so quickly that homegirl hasn’t even taken a moment to shed some light on what’s going on in her life.  She spoke to Time Out New York about her hospitalization and explained that all the trouble she experienced lately was from a wisdom tooth removal gone bad. Apparently Mischa had to avoid “proper painkillers” because she was working. That was compounded by the fact that she had problems in other areas of her life, and she doesn’t really get in to specifics about that, “I was down in the dumps about everything there for a while. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom about things and have to get the most stressed out just to feel better again. I got completely stressed out and couldn’t handle everything, and now I feel really in control.”

Wisdom teeth, you say? Wouldn’t the removal of wisdom teeth keep you looking too chipmunk faced to work in the first place, thus leaving ample time for recovery? Yeah. I’ll file that one with “mercury poisoning” and “exhaustion” under the list of really lame celebrity excuses I don’t ever want to hear again. Oh, and if you did really just lose it there for awhile, you should own it. Having that kinda street cred would be the best thing to happen to your career since The OC.

Brad and Angelina arrived in the South of France yesterday with the whole clan and immediately went pet shopping picking up gerbils and goldfish. What the hell are Brad and Angie going to do with a gerbil?

Say what you will about Lily Allen, I think she’s fierce. Not only does she do whatever she wants, but she always looks comfortable and like she’s having fun and that’s more than I can say about most people in the spotlight.

The video above was taken at Lily’s Elle UK shoot and features the stylists, photographer, make up artist and Lily herself (who at one point reaches in to the air and attempts to catch a fly with her bare hands– ballin’) and gives you a sneak peak of what’s to come in the magazine.

One part that I audibly giggled at was when Lily was asked who her London style icon was and she said “Um… Alexa Chung. No, I’m only joking.”

Larry and La Toya

La Toya Jackson dined out at Spago in Beverly Hills last night with Larry King and his wife. How the two wound up eating is beyond me and everyone else, but wether it was business or pleasure, the two caused a stir with the paps when exiting the eatery together. Now what the hell could the three of them have to talk about?

The adorable and quirky Parker Posey has had her debut in This postponed by a case of lyme disease, according to Playwrights Horizons. The star of Best In Show, Waiting for Guffman and Scream 3 had to pull out when she was recently diagnosed with the disease of my nightmares, which a quick Google search tells me has the following symptoms:

  • Rash. A small, red bump may appear within a few days to a month, often at the site of the tick bite — often in your groin, belt area or behind your knee. It may be warm to the touch and mildly tender. Over the next few days, the redness expands, forming a rash that may be as small as your fingertip or as large as 12 inches (30 centimeters) across. It often resembles a bull’s-eye, with a red ring surrounding a clear area and a red center. The rash, called erythema migrans, is one of the hallmarks of Lyme disease, affecting about 70 percent to 80 percent of infected people. If you’re allergic to tick saliva, redness may develop at the site of a tick bite. The redness usually fades within a week. This is not the same as erythema migrans, which tends to expand and get redder over time.
  • Flu-like symptoms. A fever, chills, fatigue, body aches and a headache may accompany the rash.
  • Migratory joint pain. If the infection is not treated, you may develop bouts of severe joint pain and swelling several weeks to months after you’re infected. Your knees are especially likely to be affected, but the pain can shift from one joint to another.
  • Neurological problems. In some cases, inflammation of the membranes surrounding your brain (meningitis), temporary paralysis of one side of your face (Bell’s palsy), numbness or weakness in your limbs, and impaired muscle movement may occur weeks, months or even years after an untreated infection. Memory loss, difficulty concentrating, and changes in mood or sleep habits also can be symptoms of late-stage Lyme disease.
  • Less common signs and symptoms. Some people may experience heart problems — such as an irregular heartbeat — several weeks after infection, but this rarely lasts more than a few days or weeks. Eye inflammation, hepatitis and severe fatigue are possible as well.

Uhhh, terrifying. While I’m sure Posey has the best treatment possible available to her, lyme disease freaks me out like rabies and bed bugs. Nature, man. Nature is totally fucked up.3
