Update: Photos removed on request.

You’d think she would have learned her lesson! Maybe she just likes the publicity …

We haven’t heard much from or about Vanessa Hudgens in recent months, but that’s going to change, as a new set of nude photos has hit the web. These pictures look much more recent than the original set. I can’t say for sure that they were taken after her first set of naked photos leaked, but the extensions, makeup, etc, definitely looks more recent. You like this, doncha, V?

Uncensored photos are after the jump.

It’s a big day for Chris Brown.  He’ll be officially sentenced today — it’s expected that he’ll be sentenced to five years probation and 180 days of community labor in Virginia — in the case stemming from the incident last February involving Rihanna.  Later tonight he’ll appear on Larry King Live delivering a hopefully less scripted apology that will be actually directed at Rihanna.

As far as the court case is concerned, Rihanna’s lawyer has confirmed that if asked, he will request that the stay-away order be removed.  Currently, they are not allowed within 50 yards of one another (10 yards at business related events).  This would allow the toxic-duo to be together.  When asked if Chris and RiRi were still a couple, her attorney had no comment.

This won’t end well.

American Idol castoff Katharine McPhee is releasing a new album.  Aren’t you so excited?  As she tells People, she decided to change her look to match the vibe of her newest effort:

“My music is a little more edgy so that inspired me to be adventurous,” she explains of taking the leap to blonde with stylist Peter Savic. “I’ve never dyed my hair before so this was a pretty drastic change. I’ve always been known as a brunette but I’ve been thinking about it for a long time and it kind of just fit with all of the searching with the music and experimenting that I would do the same thing with my look.” And she’s been noticing other effects of the new style as well. “The look has affected the way I dress, it’s inspired me to be more adventurous with what I decide to wear. It’s silly that something so simple as changing your hair could have such a big effect,” she muses. “I’m just having fun with it. This is a great time for me to do something different. I’m young — I always try to have a good time.”

God, Katharine.  No one cares if you’ve ever dyed your hair before and no one cares if you’re trying to be edgy.  Quite frankly, no one cares — period.  Isn’t it time for you to go away?

Penelope Cruz

There have been rumblings that Penelope Cruz is pregnant via the attractive sperm of Javier Bardem ever since her Berlin appearance at the premiere of her newest movie, The Broken Embraces.

Also adding to suspicion was a recent interview in which Penelope talked about motherhood.  In August’s issue of UK’s Psychologies, Cruz was quoted as saying:  “When I [have babies], I want to do it really well. I want it to be my best project in life. I don’t know if I believe in marriage. I believe in family, love and children.”

Now, according to Just Jared, sources have confirmed that she is about four months pregnant.  Good luck to the couple!

A new video was released this week for a song called “King Rat” by indie rock band Modest Mouse.  It probably wouldn’t get as much attention under normal circumstances, but it was directed by the late Heath Ledger and is believe to be his last piece of work.

The video is done in animation and shows whales fishing for humans.  Kind of deep, I guess.  I don’t know — it’s too early for me to absorb all this social message.

I heard the news last night about Paula not returning to Idol.  I can’t figure out if I’m just in denial, but I just don’t fully believe that Paula isn’t returning.  It would be like removing the one remaining piece of entertainment from that show, and that doesn’t make sense.

Bonnie Fuller — she’s the exec who has worked at such publications as Us Weekly, Star, YM, Cosmo, and Marie Claire — Tweeted last night about Paula’s non-return to American Idol.  According to Fuller, and she helmed Star so we have to take this with a grain of salt, Paula did ink a contract with AI and Abdul’s Twitter boo-hooing (Twhining?) is all a publicity stunt.

So, I think we have to wait and see on this.  It’s entirely possible that Paula will come back in a week with a “We revisited negotiations and are happy to announce … ” Tweet.  Stay tuned.

UPDATE:  Well, that didn’t take long.  Fuller hit Twitter a few minutes ago to say that her sources felt the deal was done but Paula pulled out at the last minute.  Apparently a 30% raise wasn’t enough for Ms. Abdul.
