While Adam Goldstein was probably best known for his high-profile relationships with Mandy Moore and Nicole Richie, his passion was music and he was truly talented at what he did. It’s come to my attention that AM’s mixes may not be accessible or that well known by most, so a friend of AM’s sent me one of his Power 106 mixes (which is 120 minutes long in full) and I pulled a section of that and decided to post it here for those of you who are unfamiliar with exactly what kind of party he brought.

Matthew McConaughey, son Levi and baby mama Camila Alves hit the beaches of Malibu yesterday, and it looks like all three of them kept their shirts on the whole time. What a disappointment. However, between Matthew, Camila, that adorable baby and the dogs, this has to be one of the most darling set of photos I’ve seen of a celebrity family all week.

The photo above was snapped last night as model and DJ AM’s recent ex girlfriend Hayley Wood watched medics remove his body from his New York apartment. Some close to the pair are saying that it was their split that may have been AM’s breaking point on his road to stay sober.

The two broke up a few weeks ago when Hayley decided that it was over. AM was already in a fragile place and did not want the relationship to end. While he put on a brave front, throwing out the first pitch at a Mets game and fulfilling all of his work obligations, friends say that the weeks leading up to his death were clearly hard for him. AM was distant, started blowing people off, was hard to get in touch with, all things that were uncharacteristic.

Woods is just another person on a very long list of those who will remember and miss Adam Goldstein.

I know we don’t cover the BritPop beat here all that much, but I felt this was noteworthy enough to mention.

After a fight with his brother/band frontman, Liam Gallager, Noel Gallagher has decided to leave Oasis. The brothers have always had a tumultuous relationship, but this break up is being treated as official. Things got so heated backstage at their Paris show that Noel pulled the plug at the last minute and walked out on the band, issuing this statement on the band’s website: “It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight … I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.” The fight escalated from a typical Gallagher brother squabble after Liam smashed Noel’s guitar one minute before they were expected to be on stage.

Whether this is truly sad for fans of the band or not is still up in the air. Oasis’ better touring years were far behind them and many fans consider the band to be Liam’s project anyway, with Noel just being a whiny, problem causing accessory.

Kristin Cavallari seemed upset by the news on her Blackberry yesterday in Malibu. The Hills star was filming scenes for the show and paling around with some girlfriends.
