Carrie Prejean Confuses Religious Convictions and Work Ethic

After lots of idle threats, she’s gone and done it.  Dethroned Miss California Carrie Prejean has filed suit against the pageant claiming that Shanna Moakler and others forced her out based on her religious convictions.

According to pageant officials, the reasons cited for Prejean’s termination had to do with her constant refusal to do any of the required work.  She would be asked to attend appearances, events, openings and would decline.

Prejean just filed the suit in L.A. County Superior Court, accusing Moakler and pageant honcho Keith Lewis of religious discrimination, defamation, public disclosure of private facts, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

Prejean was dethroned/fired from her post as Miss California USA back on June 10, nearly two months after she spoke out against gay marriage at the April 19th Miss USA competition.

Prejean claims the Miss Cali people “conspired to get rid of her” beginning on April 21st — when she said on the “Today” show that she would rather be “biblically correct than politically correct.”

Reps for Miss California USA have previously explained that Carrie was fired for missing appearances she was supposed to make for the organization and for not getting clearance to do extracurricular activities.

Donald Trump — who owns the Miss Universe Organization — is NOT named in the suit.

But in her suit, Carrie says the Miss Cali USA people “fabricated a fraudulent list of some 50 public appearances allegedly missed by Prejean which they released to the media in order to justify her termination as Miss California USA.”

In the suit, Carrie claims officials also tried to “set up Prejean to have her dismissed as Miss California USA by asking her to do a Playboy photo shoot for $120,000.”

Geez, guys.  I just really want to apologize.  I thought we were done talking about Carrie until her to-be-expected appearance on some Grade C reality show.  I guess not.

  • Its so hard, because I totally disagree with her stance on marriage, but I also would totally bang the veneers off her.

Maybe that might change her mind on the marriage thing…?

    • Hey………”Lady Goo Goo” , “Heatherlyisaverb”. I thought you were married. Are you Bi? Does your hubby know?

OOps……my mistake. Just because your married doesn’t mean it is to a man.

      Confusion……confusion.

I wish I were liberal also so I wouldn’t have to use my brain.

      • LOL I have been openly bi since I was 14, so its no secret to anyone.

And with a tongue so firmly in my cheek I can want to stick it anywhere I want to without any harm to anyone!

  • Wendie you are the biggest ass in this bunch, but all of the others who are slamming this girl are just a bunch of mindless kool-aid drinkers as well. OK so she is against same sex marriage. That is the only thing that has brought her to the forefront. That being said, that must be why everyone hates her. So all of you mindless, hateful, vicious, liberal fucks are going to define, and condemn this woman for a single opinion. GREAT!

OK then let me define all of you liberal assholes on the basis that you love to abort the unborn because your to cheap or lazy to buy a fucking condom, that you want to legalize drug use, that you want to continuously parole sex offenders (probably because they are a parent), that you want to subsidize the jobless and the ignorant (i.e African Americans), and you want to give citizenship/free health care to illegal aliens.

Does that define you? Probably not, but that is the stereo-type. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

If you want to talk sensibly then erase your fucking nonsense Wendie and post something, minus the the hatred.

    • jerzy… I think you are reading the wrong website. If you don’t want opinions like this, maybe you should read People magazine.

      Get over yourself.

    • I’m not American but I am Canadian. And all those things you posted about liberals..well I believe in them.
I also believe in the right to marry whoever you want, be it the same gender or not.
But I also think it is wrong to ostracize this person just because she has a different opinion on this issue. This is no way to educate someone about such an issue and is more likely to set her against same-sex marriage.
She was dealt with unfairly, and there is a bias against her because of her religious opinion.

      • Really?
She was not dealt with unfairly.
She broke contract plain and simple, she’s not the only contestant who has been kicked out over a breech of contract over the years.

She posed in nude pictures even though she claimed she did then when she was found out she said it was only once, that was also proven wrong. Second, she failed to show up to several events and the nasty emails she wrote to the Miss Cali people were leaked online and you can read them. She also attended news interviews without permission, also a breech of contract.

It’s clear she had her own agenda.
This has nothing to do with what she believes.
Anybody would have been kicked out for so many breaks of contract, I think the were being lenient for not kicking her out sooner, honestly.

      • Wow Robin! Your amazing. One party says she broke her contract, while the other says they didn’t. The judge reviews the evidence and says there is sufficient evidence for the case to proceed to trial yet all of those involved (especially the judge) are completely and utterly clueless.

No…..it is some sexually frustrated retard sitting in her closest feverishly thrusting a cucumber up her twat who has all the answers. Yes everyone the judicial system is incompetent, it is the all knowing sexually repressed bitch who is going to set us straight.

        Praise the Lord!!!!

    • just fyi here, jerzy, i prefer pepsi to kool-aid and wendie ain’t no jim jones.

i am slamming this girl because her earrings look like her boobs will in about 40 years and that kind of offensive clothing calls for a fashion arrest or a public slamming. i

i also think that you should join a twelve-step group for your obvious water-fowl obsession. other than that you and your crappy spelling are an absolute delight.

were there no comment boards on the ann coulter website?

      • You object to my spelling?

        Oh,….Gee…let me guess.

With a name like Mamie……you are not one of those jobless, ignorant Africans I was talking about are you?

        Flap-jacks anyone?

      • you now are in the double aught category with food reference humor.

also, i guess you have never heard of first lady mamie eisenhower. pity.

  • Maybe I’m being insanely childish… wait- there’s no MAYBE..

    BUt……….

Has anyone noticed her right armpit? What’s wrong with it? All I could see other then her big painted on smile that looks so forced she’s going to crack was that armpit. It looks like the crusty callous that forms on my grandmothers feet. I am picture an emry board and alot of cream to fix that up.

Onto the subject…… There’s no win here. We want equality and we take it away from someone else. Perez is a perfect example. He fights for the right, anything Gay/Lesbian is his fight, but dont dare do anything against his right to fight and his right for freedom of speech. Tell me why its not okay to disagree with people being gay? I’m pro, I believe in Love, in companionship, and in being able to make your own choices. I however do not agree on taking choice and freedom of speech away from others because you disagree with their views.

This world will never be peaceful, and we (as humans) will never learn. I”m as guilty as the next.

  • i feel frustrated that her opinion is so quickly denounced. im not a prejean fan at all, but i appreciate that she was honest rather than taking the popular opinion in order to win a crown. that being said, she simply has another opinion and i don’t see why conservatives get trashed so much for it. sucks.

    • Totally agree. She was askd an opinion and she gave hers. No one has to agree with her. I guess only if you are liberal you have the right to air an opinion- but everyone who disagrees is wrong.

Personally I couldn’t give a *f* about gay marriage- marry, don’t, divorce- I don’t care. Do whatever. Just commenting on the backlash. Hasselback gets alot of flack here too. If you don’t like them change the channel right.

      • I sometimes feel signled out (not like the writers are specifically targeting -me- but sometimes conservatives in general) by the posts and comments here, because I classify myself as a conservative. The grand, sweeping generalizations I’ve read on this site can get to me sometimes – there are those of us Republicans who are flexible on social and political policy, we’re just not terribly vocal because we don’t know where we quite fit. Too crunchy for the Republicans, and too set for the Democrats.

Anyway, yes, she was asked for her opinion, and she spoke it. People disagreed with her view, and that happens. She wasn’t the best fit for the Ms. California pageant, so she was ultimately fired. Shit. Happens.

      • I agree with you 100%, abqemt. As a fellow conservative, I have my beliefs, but I don’t try to shove them down anyone’s throat. I enjoy this website for the most part, because I find it quite funny and I, like most others, love my celebrity gossip. I do feel victimized here, at times, though, too.

I feel that Carrie Prejean (who I’m not a fan of, though not NOT a fan of, does that make sense?) spoke her mind, and if people don’t like it, that doesn’t make her a billigerent, ignorant bimbo, it makes her totally normal. So she didn’t agree with gay marriage? So what? I don’t agree with lots of things, but that doesn’t mean I should be crucified for my beliefs. She had a right to state her opinions, just like everyone else.

      • She definitely had the right to state her opinion, and yeah, alot of people disagreed. I did. But she did what she was asked. And the Miss Whatever (is it World Pageant that owns the Miss USA trademark?) decided that she was not the candidate they wanted representing them, and after her breeches of contract, they fired her. And that’s perfectly reasonable as well, given that she was less than professional in her direct contact with officials and frequently skipped planned, paid appearances.

I didn’t like Prejean at all, and I believe the correct path was taken in firing her, both ethically and professionally.

    • I believe we originally didn’t like because her opinion promotes discrimination, and also she takes part in pageants…But learning that she does not do her job at all is what is for me. I could care less what her opinion is on gay marriage, since she has no power whatsoever, but she would not make a good Miss…America/USA/whatever. And that’s why she got fired.

  • I never cease to be amazed at the twisted logic of
“hey don’t be prejudiced against my prejudice!”

Whit- your opinion advocates discrimination. Well, you don’t consider it discrimination, but for those of us who do this whole to-each-his-own thing is insulting. You call it a “different opinion”, I call it bigotry.
“Hey, great shoes!” is an opinion, “Opposite marriage only” is discrimination.

It may take years, even decades, but eventually you will find yourself on the wrong side of history. And if Jesus ever shows up for the final showdown, he’s gonna have a thing or two to say about the grotesque way you’ve all whored him out for your own purposes.

    • Pflagler–My opinion advocates discrimination? How so? I never stated that I agreed or disagreed with Carrie Prejean’s statement, I agreed with her right to say it. I do not in any way advocate discrimination, in fact, I work to eliminate it. I do, however, advocate freedom of speech. This does not make me a bigot. It’s up to each individual state to vote on the legalization of gay marriage. I only have my vote. Whether it be for or against, it’s really none of your business (and do you really think that you have any clue which way I’d vote? No. You don’t.)

“The wrong side of history”??? Really? I won’t hold my breath to find out. You have NO IDEA what my stance is on gay marriage. Also, your opinion that I’ve “whored Jesus out for my own purposes” is disgusting. You have no clue how I live my life or the way I seek to do God’s work. Hop down off your high horse and stop damning those who may or may not share a different opinion than your own. You’re discrimination of ME, while not even knowing a thing about me only solidifies your own personal bigotry. For all the talk you’ve spewed about not discriminating, you seem to have done plenty of it yourself.

      • I feel like I should be apologizing, since I read what Pflagler said in my email, and thought, “Well-said.” Of course now I see that his/her criticism was misdirected.

      • It is your cock that is “misdirected”.

Aim a little lower and to your left and it will slide perfectly into your nephews ass you liberal homo fuck.
