Last Wednesday Kelis gave birth to the son she was expecting with now-ex, rapper Nas. She followed that joyous day with another bout of good news: she will be receiving just a little over forty thousand dollars a month in alimony and child support. Her former spouse will also be responsible for covering her forty-five thousand dollars in legal fees.
Although the “Milkshake” singer is likely quite happy with the settlement, it seems that Nas may not be as there is already a second court date lined up in September that may change the dollar amount Kelis receives. Or maybe Kelis wants more? Regardless, the pair, who wed in July of 2003 are finally officially over. *SADFACE*

She pulled the judge of all judges, and I am happy that Nas is going to have to pay 1/3 of what he pulls in amonth, it sounds like he is spending it as fast as it’s coming in, so I hope she is smart enough to stash much of the money she gets because he”ll be broke in a few years and she’ll be on her own.
What man shows up to the hospital so drunk he is taken out by security when their child is being born, no wonder she left him, you can’t have someone like that around a baby. The next thing Nas will want is a Dna test. Doof.
I don’t think their are loads a very cool maternity dresses out there when you are as wide as you are tall. I wish her all the luck in the world, she’s going to need it too.

I LOVE Nas, he is the greatest rapper there is. I think that he is acting spoiled and immature. I have no idea what happened with Kelis (there are rumours she made a sex tape with another guy or that he cheated) but he has been acting like a bitch. Why wouldnt he have made her a reasonable settlement offer in the first place and paid her medical expenses??? Also being drunk at the hospital is NOT COOL (as jen aniston would say)

I hope NAS gets a DNA test ASAP!!! Never trust a woman, especially a woman like Kelis!! No way she need $40K a month to survive! The system just wants to make you feel like a deadbeat dad if your not with the mother of your child, when all you want to be is an equal parent. F*$K the biased system… get the payment reduced.
