Chris Brown is Sorry Trying to Save His Career

Well, kids, here you have it. Nearly six months after the fact, a video apology from Chris Brown for kicking the shit out of Rihanna. He asks and prays for your forgiveness.

Thoughts?

  • I WANTED to apologize so badly, but instead I was too busy jet skiing and going to basketball games.

  • I think he is using one of Barracks surplus teleprompters. Apology not accepted asshole. You should have went to jail! I wish you had and then I would love to have seen your cell mate put out an apology video for having reamed your shit hole all to hell. That would be good. You Fucking Pig!

    • > I think he is using one of Barracks surplus teleprompters.

What a stupid ass conservative comment. Read this very carefully and let it sink into your tiny brain: ALL POLITICIANS USE TELEPROMPTERS.

      • Let this sink into your over inflated brain Donkey Fuck! No U.S. President has ever used a tele-prompter more than your apparent black fantasy lover. Even most of the liberal media and pundits recognize the fact and have admitted it.

      • Yeah Bush just fucking memorized every little fucked up speech he said. So what if they use a fucking teleprompter, lets just all point fingers and say how President Obama is a horrible president because he uses a fucking teleprompter. Get a fucking life.

      • Hey Anonymous just bury your face back in Donkey Shits ass why dont you? I make one simple innocuous comment about a tele-prompter and you liberal pussies get all bent out of shape.

      • if someone is giving a speech without a teleprompter, they’re reading it off a piece of paper in front of them

i like the prompters better for all live tv because i feel like the speaker is talking to the audience not the top of his podium. personal opinion

      • “more than your apparent black fantasy lover.”

why is it that so many conservatives think that every liberal worships the ground the Obama walks on? Like, you support the president, or agree with some of his views, and OMG YOU MUST WANT TO MARRRRRRRRRY HIM!!!! YOU THINK HE IS LIKE JEEEEEESUS!!!!!!!!!

seriously, where did all this shit come from? it’s beyond annoying. I like Obama, I voted for him, but I do not think he is the new messiah.

      • “seriously, where did this shit come from?” It came from the majority of fucks that voted for him. My God the way liberals were demonizing Bush and glorifying Obama you would have thought the damn sun shined from his ass. When I was in line during the election waiting to vote for Palin (fuck McCain) there was an African American woman standing in front of me praying out loud, raising her hands in the air, crying, getting on her knees, and occasionally belting out an old negro spiritual. If that isn’t fucking blind, ignorant hysteria I don’t know what is.

      • Jerzy why don’t you slither back into the hole you fucking live in you sad sack. Who gives a fuck what you think. And Palin would have fucked this country up so damn quick it would have sent even your nasty head spinning. Get a fucking life and leave the rest of us alone asshole.

      • You libs are such fucking lightweights. A bunch of whining pussies. I have a life. I have committed myself to aggravating narrow minded pricks like you.

    • bar·rack 1 (brk)
      tr.v. bar·racked, bar·rack·ing, bar·racks
To house (soldiers, for example) in quarters.
      n.
      1. A building or group of buildings used to house military personnel. Often used in the plural.
      2. A large, unadorned building used for temporary occupancy. Often used in the plural.

Barack Obama – President of the USA

      • Wow. That’s quite possibly the stupidest thing I have ever seen. Bravo, Maluca, my IQ just dropped after reading that.

      • Barrack….Barack……Who gives a fuck? Actually your second definition of Barrack(s) applies to Barack as well. His large, unadorned head once was temporarily used to occupy common sense, but it was apparently given an eviction notice.

      • We can’t all live out our lives as a puss filled ass pimple like you Jerzy. Why don’t you lance yourself in the head and do the world a favor.

      • Typical liberal. You have a big mouth and big opinions yet you hide in anonymity. Beet must have told you that you couldn’t use your real name……..ASSHOLE Says…….

    • Awwww…honey, honey, honey. It’s okay. Just take a deep breath in, hold it…hold it…now let it go.
You’re so cute when you’re angry.
Like an angry little court jester.

But it’s better to not stress so much. It’s bad for the heart.

      Take care, pumpkin.

    • I don’t think anyone is resorting to hyperbole when they report that he knocked her out and then left her by the side of the road for dead.

Or are you saying it’s an exaggeration because the singer was not literally covered in shit? In that case: “He beat the blood out of her.” Much better.

  • Abusers are complete piles of shit but — as over-prepared and over-produced as his video apology is — I thought it was pretty good, pretty well written. And I do pity him.

  • Dick.

That’s all I wanted to write but you can’t leave one word posts. I guess to prevent assholes from writing “first.”

  • I’m not even going to watch that. Waste of my time.

I didn’t like him when he was 16 and I don’t like him now and I still think he’s ugly as sin.

I’m just going to go back and look through the Russell Crowe & co. pictures again. Regain my zen.

  • Right on Anonymous, Persistent Cat, and Pikki Nikki Polka Pants. My question is this. Doesn’t Rihanna have any male relatives who are men and give a shit about her. If she were my blood Chris Brown would be alive but barely recognizable. He would be doomed to eating only apple sauce and jello for the rest of his life or at least until they reconstructed his punk ass face.

  • well i mean i do have a heart
so when i see someone apologizing, my instinct is generally to forgive them

but how heartfelt was that? really?
it seemed way too calculating to be genuine…

    • Brooke, here’s a good rule of thumb – not only do you have a heart, but you also have a head – try using it every once in while!!!

  • I like the way he starts out almost like he’s defying his lawyers by speaking out but then refuses to actually voice what he did. “The incident” and “my actions that I can’t discuss” is just …crap. As is he.

    • He does make it sound like he’s defying his lawyers by doing this video. So pathetic. I could only listen to about 15 seconds and then I turned it off. Just made me sick.

  • Not even going to watch it. I get the idea from the comments.
I used to watch a show about people going up for parole and it showed them asking the board to parole them and the board’s reasoning why or why not parole was granted.
The thing that always got me is none of those guys (it was a men’s prison) ever mentioned the crime as “what I did” or the victim as “who I hurt (robbed, raped”, whatever). It was “what happened.” Or “the incident that happened”. No responsibility taking whatsoever. Sounds like Mr. Brown is using the same tactics.
I wouldn’t know for sure, though, as it’s never getting played on my computer.

  • i think it is important that people do not forgive him because we as the public need to make it clear that this behavior is completely unacceptable and we will not support him financially after what he did.

    domestic violence is NEVER ok.

  • HOW HAS NO ONE YET COMMENTED ON THE MONKEES SHIRT?!?!
Seriously, you want the world to stop thinking of you as an assh*le for the first time in six months, and that–THAT– is what you choose to wear?

But then I can’t see one of the Monkees assaulting their girlfriend, so maybe it’s SUPPOSED to subliminally make us think of them?

  • If he felt really bad about it, he would pack up his shit and leave Hollywood forever. I don’t care who the fuck you are, hitting ANYONE if its either a man or a woman IT IS NOT RIGHT!

  • I’m sure it took him & Geragos HOURS to come up with that.

He can “axe” me all he wants but I’m not into forgiving abusers. Next time he goes off someone is likely to die. Abuse escalates.

He looks good in orange-just a preview of his clothing options for the future-I hope.

  • Well, I guest I’m on the wrong page. Everyone saying he is crap and shit (eloquent) and doesn’t deserve any foregiveness. I forgive him because I just like him so much, as an entertainer and as an imperfect but very special person. I don’t like the video – as said, you don’t feel the sincerity, and yes I think it is somewhat related to his trying to get back to work. Its imperfect – and yes, goofy jacket. This is Chris – goofy and imperfect. But LOTS of us want him back. Try to forgive him a little, and lets move on.

    • Um .. you do realize that someone else writes his songs, right? He’s a performer. He sings and dances. He doesn’t reach into his heart and write the pretty songs that make you swoon. He just does what he’s told and sings and dances for money.

If Hollywood forgives him, what kind of a message does that send kids?

I would be more eager to say “OK onwards and upwards” if he hadn’t been such a dipshit, jet-skiing and partying in the days and weeks following “the incident”.

  • “You get on the other end of a man’s fist and then see how you feel.”

I wish it was me at the other end of his fists but these assholes who have these ‘uncontrollable outbursts’ have a tendency not to attack people who can fight back.

    • If Rihanna had hit him back and messed up his face, how quick would he have gone to cry about it. I know a guy who used to beat his girlfriend and one day she finally got the courage to go after him, and she was the one that got into trouble for it. It’s not fair that he could just buy his way out of the situation, and how many times will we see him at charity events for domestic violence showing just how much of a shit he is.

    • I don’t care if he’s bigger or taller or stronger than me, I would have beat the living crap out of him (or anyone else) using every once of strength in my body! I swear he would have had some permanent damage to deal with! UGH!!!!!!

P.S.: Donkey punch, just when I think your posts can’t get any more idiotic… here you come along and prove me wrong…

  • What CB did was horrific, and I believe he knows it, and is sorry and ashamed (per video – even if rehearsed – they don’t like him speaking spontaneously because he sounds too country). This happened one night; he is not a chronic “abuser.”Are you going to brand him forever as being that? And let him do the charity thing – it does bring the abuse issue front and center, which is good (if its good for Chris’s image, thats LESS IMPORTANT).

I’m feeling a scary level of hate in some of these comments. Give the kid a break.

    • He needs to be made an example of, because he’s in the public eye. If kids see that there are serious consequences for beating women (such as losing your career), they will be less likely to do it themselves. Plus, he’s just a self-satisfied little twat. He should have put out a public apology immediately. Fuck him.

    • First thing; Anonymous, I truly hope you are not a woman and using an anonymous name to hide that fact!!! Second, I would be more than happy to give CB a break….what bone of his should I start with first?

  • Well COME ON PEOPLE..
He said he’d never do it again. He’s sorry and he feels bad. He’s gonna make it up to us.

How many abusive men say things like this?

Wait a second…what? All of them? Really?
    Oh. I see.

  • What a loser. And I cannot believe there are still people that support that douche.

“This happened one night; he is not a chronic “abuser.”Are you going to brand him forever as being that?”
Sorry, but you sound like someone who might become a victim of domestic violence considering the way you are supporting someone who beat the face of woman.

Would you be saying the same thing if you would have gotten assaulted by the man/woman you loved?
If yes, get the hell out of that destructive relationship!!!

As for CB, I feel sorry for him and hope he will find a way to…get better.

  • I can’t believe what a bunch of assholes are commenting here. What is the guy supposed to do? I guess he should have just killed himself since obviously his life is forfeit now, he can never contribute positively to the world now that he beat up his girlfriend.
People commenting here are so forgiving they almost sound like Christians.

  • Joan – from your hideous pale, horse-faced picture I assume that you are English. Now that I have gotten that off of my chest I can comment on your rediculous input on Chris Brown. Shut your fucking mouth! What Chris did is inexcusable and unforgivable. If at his young age, he has already progressed to such outrageously dangerous behavior, what do you think we can expect from him in the future? The recovery rates of an abuser are slim-to-none. Open up your eyes!!! You sound like another pathetic fucking vicitm making excuses for their offenders!!! You make me sick!!!!

  • i am sorry chris but when people flip and go crazy lyk dat they normally do it again so how am i going to forgive this time if i dont know if your gonna do it again.

    i am or used 2 b a massive fan

  • A person who looses control and hits someone needs help, like Chris is admitting. But you all seem to think its all cut and dry, black and white You all are saying that person is ‘a chronic abuser’ that will ‘always do it again’ – will always apologize and do it again, and the ‘recovery rates are slim-to-none.’ All of ‘them’ – all the same (ain’t THIS the place for generalizing and labeling).

Hey, hello – NO two people in this world are the same. If you can’t stand him and what he did, say that – spare me all the lame analysis of the situation and your ‘expertise’ on chronic abuse.

  • Aside from the incident – someone is saying CB is ‘a performer’ and he just does it for the money. Doesn’t ‘reach into his heart for the pretty songs’. Hey yes, its business. He’s a guy trying to make a (million) bucks, at something he loves doing. But grant him his gifts, for singing and dancing. He is a joy to watch and listen to, for many of us. Pure and simple.

Note: Did all the great crooners of the past feel their songs? Write them? No they were ‘just’ great performers I guess.

    • I’m guessing you’re the type of woman who has “pen-pals” in maximum security prisons.

A person’s talents don’t cancel out their misdeeds. What it had been rape, murder, paedophilia? At what point do you say: “OK, maybe his pretty songs aren’t enough for me this time?”
