This is really sad! A stage that was being constructed in Marseilles, France collapsed today. Seven workers were injured and one was killed. There has been no confirmed word on how the accident happened. Some reports claim that the roof was two-thirds complete when it became unsteady and collapsed.
Madonna was quick to release a statement: “I am devastated to have just received this tragic news. My prayers go out to those who were injured and their families, along with my deepest sympathy to all those affected by this heartbreaking news.”
Sunday’s Marseilles concert has been cancelled.
What a sad story, rigging any kind of show is dangerous but this was catastrophic, I can’t imagine how badly everyone on tour feels.

Thank you for trying your best to kill Madonna today. I know you don’t really need suggestions, but next time you might want to try the pyrotechnic explosion like you attempted to snuff out Michael Jackson with. Even if that one doesn’t work, it’s still so much fun to watch over and over.

Looks like I was foiled again. You know I’ve tried twice already with horseback riding accidents, without getting the job done. Horses are just so unpredictable. Next time, I’m putting a real pro on the job. Can’t divulge any details, I’ve got mysterious ways you know, but it should be effective. At any rate, how long can her luck run out? Not forever….

I heard that 2 people died. I hope that she takes care of the families whom are left without that family member. I’m sure she has a mega insurance policy when she’s out touring.
It’s just being reported that a 23 year old Brit also died in this – someone needs to be looking at the Health and Safety of that set!!!
