Remember last year when Katherine Heigl withdrew her name from consideration for a Best Actress Emmy nomination for her role as Izzy on Grey’s Anatomy?  Well this year, though her character was dramatically battling a brain tumor, she didn’t receive a nomination.  You piss on the Emmys, you can expect to pay the price for seasons to come.  The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences will never forget!

It seems like the nominees named were pretty much as expected except no recognition for Battlestar Galactica.  Okay, who else was missing off the list?  Did anyone else get the royal shaft?

The full list of Emmy nominees can be found here.

Poor Katherine. She just learned a costly lesson about Hollywood.
I hope. I’m sick of listening to her bitch about all the amazing opportunities she takes for granted.

how the fuck is jon cryer a SUPPORTING actor in two and a half men????

    seriously.

what a fucking joke. both for the category – and for the nomination.

I think the show “Chuck” got completely shafted. I think it is a hilarious, extremely well-written show that should have gotten some recognition besides for stunt work. Come on, does Steve Carell really need yet ANOTHER nomination? Goodness.

I’m just happy Piven didn’t get another nom! Over him in Entourage.

I agree, Chuck is awesome and it should be recognized in at least one category.

  4. Ella says:

I think Jenna Fischer from The Office should’ve gotten a nomination for best supporting actress–comedy. And what about Friday Night Lights??? It should have received something a little better than a nomination for best casting.

  5. Melodie says:

True Blood, baby. Again, and again… and again!

  6. Xander says:

Anna Paquin should have gotten Best Lead Actress in a Drama series and Rachel Griffiths Best Supporting Actress in a drama series. For True Blood and Brothers & Sisters.
True Blood – Definitely Best drama series.

  7. Jinxy says:

I think they really blew it by not nominating True Blood, and several of the actors deserved to be nominated. So I am done with the Emmy’s they are irrelevant, like the Golden Globes, they are just a snoozefest with an agenda that doesn’t represent or acknowledge good actors or good shows.

I’m ecstatic that Breaking Bad and the Lead Actor Bryan Cranston is on the list. Also happy for Jim Parsons for the Big Bang Theory and happy to see Christine Baranski getting a not for a guest spot.

I do not like 30 Rock, The Office or Brothers and Sisters. Dumb

I haven’t watched True Blood, probably should have, but hear its excellent. Not a fan of Anna Paquin though…

I loved Boston Legal, but frankly, there is no point to the Emmy nods now. They should have made other choices….

Jim Parsons – Big Bang Theory! Yeay! :) :) :)
Oh God… House? Hugh Laurie is still the best.

  10. Kelly says:

Jim Parsons is brilliant on BBT.
And I can’t believe neither Mary McDonnell nor The Olmos were nominated. What a crock.
