You are WRONG, America. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!!

While I do feel Kris Allen is an incredibly talented young man, and I do respect him for that, Adam Lambert is a one-of-a-kind artist, and clearly head and shoulders above Kris’s John Mayer impersonation.

There’s a lot of talk right now about whether or not this has to do with Adam being gay. Eight seasons in and we still haven’t had a gay American Idol. (Well, except for Kelly Clarkson, but I think she’s still a few years away from coming out of the closet.) Personally, I don’t think it’s about Adam being gay, per se; I think it’s about American teenagers wanting a cookie-cutter performance from a cookie-cutter talent, like Danny Gokey or Kris Allen.

I, for one, will be buying Adam’s AMAZING album when it comes out, and Allison’s. You can keep the rest of ‘em.

(Oh, and seriously, if you didn’t want spoilers, get off the Internet.)

Barbara Walters and Whoopi Goldberg verbally flambéed commentator Glenn Beck today on The View.  It’s always interesting to watch a celebrity who is so obviously caught in a lie.  Perhaps what made it so fascinating though was that the dialogue kept co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck silent for six minutes and thirty-five seconds.

Singer Natalie Cole has been one sick puppy.  After being diagnosed with Hepatitis C which was likely caused by her years of drug abuse, Cole underwent chemotherapy which caused kidney damage severe enough to warrant a transplant.  Since then, she had been receiving dialysis three times a week while she waited for a donor match.

Natalie’s summer tour which was scheduled to begin June 5th has been postponed for the best possible reason.  Though many people offered up a kidney after Cole appeared on Larry King Live, she actually found one through One Legacy which is an organ-procurement agency.  She had her transplant and is now recovering.

Congratulations to Natalie!  I can’t say it enough — Be an organ donor!

“Girls need to imagine and picture their life with a screaming newborn baby and then think before they have sex. Think about the consequences … If girls realized the consequences of sex, nobody would be having sex. Trust me. Nobody.”

Bristol Palin, discussing teenage motherhood with People magazine.

Got opinions? We’re talking about it over on Zelda Lily.

Rihanna’s been a BUSY GIRL lately.

She’s in NYC recording her new album, but she’s definitely taking full advantage of her evenings. On Sunday, she and her band hit up Flashdancers gentlemen’s club on Broadway around midnight, after finishing up in the studio. “She and her group were tipping the girls quite frequently … it wasn’t only Rihanna,” says a source. “They had a good time. They were drinking sodas and water.” Good girl!

Ri-Ri wasn’t quite so good on Monday night, when she was spotted with a group of friends at Lucky Strike Lanes & Lounge. Rihanna spent most of the night locking lips with Canadian former child actor-turned-rapper Aubrey “Drake” Graham. “She was drinking whiskey and apple juice and making out with him all night,” says a spy. “They were really cute together.” Rihanna left with him around midnight.

There are pics of Aubrey below in the thumbnails. I’d never heard of him before this. Definitely a cutie-patootie! He’d better be treating you right, Ri-Ri!!!

Alec Baldwin’s mouth gets him in a lot of trouble.  No, he didn’t verbally abuse his rude, thoughtless little pig of a daughter this time.  However, he did offend a Philippine Senator.

It all started when Alec appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman.  When asked if he’d like to have more children he gave an offhand reply in which he indicated that he’d like to find a Filipino mail-order bride.

That comment incensed Senator Ramon Revilla who said Baldwin’s joke was “insensitive and uncalled for.”  Though I can understand the dude being offended, and feeling that his culture was offended, he got a little crazy with the rage.  Using a regional idiom that indicated that the senator would personally beat Baldwin, Revilla said “Let him try to come here in the Philippines and he’ll see mayhem.”

Today on Huffington Post, Alec posted a mea culpa which will hopefully protect him from cane-wielding senators.

I’d like to offer an apology and a clarification to remarks I made recently.

While on the David Letterman program, I joked that I might need a “mail-order bride” to achieve the goal of having more children in my life. I believe that most people understood that this was a joke and took it as such. (A dated reference, no doubt, and another sign of my advancing age.) However, I do apologize to anyone who took offense. The comments of some Philippine government officials come as no surprise to me, either. Even the one by a former action film star-turned-Senator who beckoned me to come to the Philippines so he could “beat” me over my comment.

Such anger and frustration about the issue of sex trafficking is understandable. The Philippines has suffered significant problems with the issue of sex trafficking and I would like to turn your attention to the work of an organization called Love146 that my brother Stephen educated me about. Visit their website at www.love146.org and learn of the important work that is being done, in various regions of the world, by Rob Morris and his co-founders and staff.

I had met with Rob in New York, some months before the Letterman appearance, in the hopes of helping him raise money for this group. Again, I apologize for the perceived insensitivity of that remark and ask you to visit the Love146 site.

You can read his whole blog here as this excerpt is part of a larger apology.  Turns out Baldwin ticked off the entire U.S. automaker industry as well.  But that’s another story.
