“I don’t think she got the reaction she was hoping for. I think she probably thought I would cry or get mad, and I didn’t — I played it off,” Katrina Darrell said about Kara interrupting her on stage during the Idol finale. “Looking back at the tape, she just made herself look stupid; she didn’t make me look stupid.”

More on Katrina’s uber-bitchy interview here.

RadarOnline is reporting that Gisele Bundchen is expecting a little quarterback or cheerleader.  Not surprising, actually.  You know Gisele is going to have about five kids in less than seven years, at least one set of twins, all whilst maintaining her size zero figure.  Perfection is such a drag.

Let’s think about this:  When Brangelina announced that they went into the lab and had created a DNA hybrid named Shiloh, I couldn’t fathom a more perfect mix could exist — until now.  Can you imagine what this child will look like?  It’s clear that the kid will probably be about five feet tall at birth.

This will be Tom’s second child.  He has an almost two-year-old with Bridget Moynihan.  Come to think of it, this will also be a second child for Gisele since she considers Tom and Bridget’s kid to feel like her own.

Congrats to the happy, genetically blessed, slightly annoying couple!

Mischa Barton, seen around town last night in — wait for it — mini dress, fringe scarf, yellow leather cropped jacket and matching Capezio-like oxfords.  Doesn’t.  She.  Look.  Special?

Oh, and I just read her blog where she announced that her pilot, A Beautiful Life, got picked up for the fall schedule.  Joy.

Their latest cover reads “Mom to Monster,” and then lists all the reasons why Kate is a horrible, evil person. Man, does anyone know where I can find Us Weekly‘s circulation numbers? I wonder if all this hateful coverage of Kate is boosting their sales, because they sure do seem set on milking it for all it’s worth.

Listen: I don’t like the way Kate Gosselin treats her husband any more than you do, Us Weekly. I don’t want to be her friend. I don’t think she’s a nice person. But I continue to believe that she loves her children and puts them first, and this headline crosses the line.

I’m serious. Every time I read a new story about this girl and the headline isn’t “Amy Winehouse Dead,” I’m a little bit shocked. There is no viable reason for her to still be alive. She is so mind-blowingly cracked out at all times. It’s strange — I lost a friend to a drug overdose a few weeks ago. He was 20 years old. He accidentally overdosed on prescription drugs. He was a strong, healthy guy — a college athlete, no pre-existing health problems. I still don’t think it’s really sunk in for me that he’s gone forever. And, yet, at the age of 25, Amy Winehouse continues to stick the crack pipe in her mouth every day and live to tell about it. Why do some people seem to survive drug abuse indefinitely, while others lose the battle early on? I guess the moral is this: Don’t do drugs. Don’t do them ever. And if you find yourself hooked, get help immediately. Don’t wait another day.

But fans in London will have to wait for another day to see Amy Winehouse perform — she’s suddenly pulled out of what was going to be her first UK performance in over a year.

“Amy Winehouse’s management has regretfully announced that Amy and her band will no longer be performing at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire,” her rep said in a statement.

“Amy would like to apologize to her fans who bought tickets for the shows.”

No reason was given for the cancellation, though yesterday Britain’s Press Association reported that Winehouse was taken to the hospital with chest pains.

While her hospitalization came in the wake of a fainting spell, the singer’s management claimed she was simply dehydrated and released shortly thereafter.

It’s the second time this month the singer’s rep has blamed a fainting spell for a doctor’s visit. It’s also the second time this month that the Grammy winner has backed out of a performance.

Who are these fans buying tickets for her show? It’s probably 100% paparazzi, looking to capture the trainwreck on camera. I have trouble believing that anyone today would be a ticket for an Amy Winehouse show and expect a good performance.

Meanwhile, Amy is being followed around by cameras for a documentary about her life titled Saving Amy. “Amy and her family will be the subject of a new documentary later this year,” said an announcement from Amy’s camp. “The journalist spent time with Amy and her family recently on St. Lucia, and in true honest to goodness Amy style, the doc will be a truthful and revealing look at her complicated lifestyle.”

Um, I don’t think her lifestyle is complicated. It goes like this: Drugs –> Hospital –> Drugs –> Hospital –> Drugs –> Hospital. What part of this is failing to register with her?

The California Supreme Court announced today that it will rule on Tuesday regarding whether they’ll overturn the hateful Proposition 8 and allow same-sex couples to legally wed in California. If it follows past practice, the court will make its announcement at about 10 AM Pacific
Time (1 PM, Eastern / 12 noon Central).

There will be rallies ALL OVER THE COUNTRY and internationally — we will either celebrate if the court overturns the ruling, or peacefully protest if they do not.

Click here for the location of the rally near you.

I will personally be at the Seattle rally at the Westlake Center. I hope you’ll all attend the rallies in your area. We must make sure that our voices are HEARD loud and clear — discrimination can NOT be tolerated in this country!!!
