Mr. Buffy Gets A Job

Cute Freddie Prinze Jr., hubby of Sarah Michelle Gellar, has a new gig this fall.  After basically doing voice work for the past couple of years, Prinze has landed a role as a regular on the show 24, playing a Marine who wants to follow in the steps of Jack Bauer.  I thought that show was cancelled.  Huh.

I don’t watch 24 but I’m assuming that Jack Bauer doesn’t spend his time drinking 14 hours a day, serving short stints in the slammer and head-butting people, right?  Actually, now that I think of it, that sounds like a good show for Keifer to look into next year when 24 gets axed.

Anyway, good luck to Prinze!  This is very timely for him since he and his wife have a baby on the way.  Those things get expensive.

    Why would 24 be canceled? It still pulls good numbers even if the last season’s ending was kinda dumb.
    What’s actually more interesting about this post is finding out that Freddie Prinze Jr. is still alive… and acting. Holy crap.. Haven’t people that hire him ever seen one of his films? I’d rather be repeatedly punched in the sack than have to watch Summer Catch again.

    You realize he’s a multi-millionaire who starred in his own sitcom, right? As well as a string of blockbusters he headlined? Not like he needs the money, he has what they call “Fuck You!” money.

    It’s spelled “Kiefer.”

    When I checked Wikipedia to be sure, it said his full name is Kiefer William Frederick Dempsey George Rufus Sutherland. No wonder he drinks.

    You might give “24″ a try. This season had some really strong female characters, including a woman president. And the writing’s better than in most of the movies Hollywood produces. Not that it always makes perfect sense, but it’s always fast-paced and entertaining, IMHO.

    It’s called production company covering their ass in case the star has to go to jail or rehab — so everyone doesn’t lose their job character development. It’s stayed good longer than most series do. Kiefer has to get himself together, for his own good and himself.

    Where is Beet these days?? She barely posts anymore! I get the feeling she doesn’t want to do this blog anymore. She doesn’t put have the effort into it as she use to. It makes me sad :(
