Haylie Duff Got The Ashley Tisdale Special

untitled-1

Haylie Duff, which some of you know as the older sibling to Hilary and some of you know as the famous girl who doesn’t actually do anything, obviously had plastic surgery.  She had her nose modified and upturned and had her chin reduced.  No word on if she had her sister’s coattails surgically removed from her firm grasp at the same time.

  • I liked her better before. But I have a thing for noses. And chins, come to think of it…

  • she looks like alanis in the before pic, but i think plastic surgery is ucky, so i still prefer how she looks previously.

  • Personally, I think she looks better after. That may be shallow, but I had a nose job as well. So I’m all for plastic surgery. It turned my life around. I’m happy for her.

    • how do you mean, ratso? like it gave you greater confidence, or it changed the way that people interacted with you?

    • Yes, so did I!! It has made me a far more confident person – I just feel like it’s something that really always got in the way of things, and now it doesn’t. As long as she is happy! :)

  • Personally, I don’t think her features were that atrocious to begin with. It’s like, I understand plastic surgery if you are extremely unfortunate looking and it’s affecting your entire life and making you completely unhappy. That was clearly not Haylie’s case. But whatever. I guess I’m not one to judge.

    • it doesn’t matter if you think her features weren’t that atrocious, what matters is what she thought of them. i HATE my profile, even with braces i still have an overbite from sucking my thumb. it makes my upper lip stick out. i was always conscious of my mouth from the side and trying to move my lips so i didn’t look freakish. i NEVER smile for pictures with my mouth open and for the longest time i always covered my mouth with my hand when laughing. i am an average looking person, not horrifying.but it’s taken a LONG time to feel even SLIGHTLY comfortable in my own skin. i still never leave the house without makeup on because i think i look washed out without eyeliner. even shirley manson has body dysmorphic disorder and thinks she’s ugly. it’s hard to be happy with your appearance in our society. bottom line is your looks can make you completely unhappy even if it’s a small problem in need of a small fix like shaving a little off the top of your nose. even a small change can make a huge difference in your self-esteem. i say go for it if it makes you feel better about yourself.

  • I think she looks great afterwards. And I definitely think plastic surgery can give a needed boost of confidence. I don’t think plastic surgery should be relegated to this with serious disfigurements and medical problems. Everything in moderation. If it made her happy, then I think that’s all that matters.

  • I thought she was really pretty before. She had a beautiful quality that Hilary could only hope for (god love her but she’s merely cute). I’m sad she felt like she needed the surgery but at least she didn’t get too radical with it. She still looks good.

  • I think the new chin looks better, but IMO her nose was better before. It was long, but it had a nicer shape that gave her a unique look. I understand that people often do not see the ways that slight imperfections can make them more beautiful when they are looking in the mirror. They only see that there is an imperfection, especially in a place like Hollywood. If she is happier with the generic nose then I am happy for her.

  • i’n not convinced that is her, but if so, i think that she does look better. her nose was waaaaaayyy to thin and pointy and her chin also. i understand how they can reduce the length of the chin, but how would they make an already thin long nose look fuller?
