Just based on the camera angles, facial expressions of the judges and general editing, I’m convinced that this show is completely rigged.  The producers of Britain’s Got Talent, and I really wish the name of this show was Britain Has Talent, totally know ahead of time when someone with a phenomenal voice is about to take the stage.

The newest in the Appearances Can Be Deceiving series, is waiter Greg Pritchard.  I was completely into his hotness until he opened his voice and sang.  He’s very talented, but you’ll know what I mean the second you hear him sing.

is it just me or did he sound exactly like a woman?!?!
also, anyone else expext him to sing my chemical romance or something similar?

i wonder if he hits those notes during sex.

totally unexpected, i wanted to ask if he was you know, intact.

“It was like a dog meowing.” lol

With you on the rigged thing. And I’m sorry to say, this whole Susan Boyle crap gets on my nerves. Like they didn’t intentionally put her up there JUST to get that reaction from the audience. She’s actually totally full of herself and obnoxious. She’s not even a great singer, anyway.

Bah, humbug. It’s all one great big manipulation in order to sell soap. And fucking mops.

Uh, hey…the widescreen vids cover up your advertising column, which isn’t too big a deal until it’s covering up the button to mute the sound on your American Idol ad.

When he says “Don’t Laugh” I LOVE IT! There is something VERY attractive about him…as long as he doesn’t sing in bed. haha

I agree with the title! But the way the British speak, Britian’s Got Talent is proper. It does annoy me so much though, proper or not.

  8. Rachel says:

He’s like the British Adam Lambert to me only this guy actually hits notes instead of making my ears bleed with high pitched screeching.

  9. Beet Czar says:

A couple things I noticed; Simon seems more relaxed, has more time to talk freely and the audience doesn’t jump in on the judges commentary… Would like to hear him sing something contempary.

    He’s AWESOME!

  11. Lindsay says:

    i don’t quite believe it..

*blink* *blink* *blink* Did that just happen?

You’re absolutely right about the manipulation of the TV audience. Because this show is not aired live, the producers have lots of time to edit (set up our expectations by showing bored judges, a dubious/scornful audience, etc.) then – SHAZAM! – they blow us away with real talent. Kind of annoying, really.

Ditto on the grammar. I teach English in Spain, where kids learn to speak the British way — but I’m Canadian. And it just grates on my nerves teaching “has got” instead of “has”. It’s so superfluous! So unnecessary!

  15. Lily says:

    simon is all smiley

  16. me says:

hehe This has got to be a first! Americans complaining about poor English usage. What’s the matter? ‘Has got’ not user-friendly enough?? :P

  17. nomen cognomen says:

This is dumb. He’s the third person to sing “Nessun Dorma.” Paul Potts won first when he sang it for Britain. Then that other dude won for singing it in America. Don’t tell me this guy is next. It feels unfair… Paul Potts must be shaking his head somewhere.

What’s with all the singers on this show?
    Where are the other talents?

  18. JVicious says:

That is one hell of a countertenor! I’ve heard high singing countertenors before, but nothing like this guy. He’s pretty darn good, but needs to work on his enunciation of the lyrics…. just a music major nerding out over here…
