Just When You Thought Denise Richards Couldn’t Embarrass Herself Further

Apparently not everything is complicated with Denise Richards — according to her version, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” only has one note. That note is “scream.”

Denise inflicted her singing upon the audience during the seventh inning stretch of the Chicago Cubs game this weekend. There is some amusing joke to be made here comparing her singing to the Cubs’ performance, but I’m big enough to admit I don’t know enough about sports to make it. I leave the sports jokes to Kelly. Take your own shot at it in the comments.

  • The cubs won their last 3 games, so I think no jokes are in order. I do question their choice of having her sing during the seventh inning stretch. It was awful and a disgrace to a city that has enough problems to deal with including a disgraced governer turned wannabe reality star, sky rocket taxes and the Olympics. The Cubs performance is the least of our problems.

  • Did she have the lyrics written down?? Who doesn’t know the words to Take Me Out to the Ballgame? Apparently Denise doesn’t…

  • Hey sasha you moron, it’s not supposed to be for whitney houston to sing, it’s for anyonne, it’s a fun song, meaning your ugly azz could sing it too!

  • She grew up in Downers Grove, which is right next to the town that I grew up in – Woodridge. I assure you, we don’t breed psychos… she’s just a freak accident!!!

  • It’s an attempt to lift the curse. Since they couldn’t ACTUALLY torture and kill a black cat during the 7th inning stretch, they did the next best thing.

(As a side note, I think that whole curse-lifting tabby cat run was staged. The cat belonged to someone in the stands. Who brings their cat to a baseball game?)

(As a side-side note, baseball is BY FAR the most ridiculously superstitious sport, when it comes to both fans AND players. And believe me, I have seen some really silly hockey and football superstitions.)
