Today has been QUITE a day for my friends.
First off, my gorgeous and amazing and always fashion-forward friend Talita Silva is starring in the new Style network show, Running in Heels, which follows her trials and travails as an intern at Marie Claire. Talita and I were way tight when we both lived in LA, and it was always her dream to move to NYC and work in the fashion business out there. She up and did it right after I moved to Seattle, and, DAMN, when Talita does something, she does it right! Less than a year and the bitch has a fucking TV show! What a total testament to her talent and her drive, both of which she has in abundance, in addition to being a true friend who I’ve always felt like I could talk to about anything. I logged on to MySpace for the first time, in, oh, a decade, so I could join Talita’s fan page, and of course I have a zillion messages (sorry if you emailed me on there!). One of them was sent back in February, from my friend Jessica, who’s a dancer for Lisa D’Amato. Jess is the hot blonde thing in the middle, and Lisa’s on the left.
Now, if you’ve read this site for awhile, you know how much I love Lisa D’Amato, the ANTM castoff-turned-rapper. She’s so genius. She can do no wrong in my book. The beautiful (and naturally that skinny! It never seemed fair!) Jessica stars in Lisa’s new video from her upcoming album. The song’s called “Trainwreck,” and Jess’s email asked if I could plug it on the site. OF COURSE I CAN! I’M ONLY SORRY IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO FIND OUT ABOUT IT! So, ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, Lisa D’Amato, the fabulous Jessica Kauffman, and “Trainwreck”!!!

Talita Silva is beyond hot; she’s beautiful to the point that she just ruined my day. But the blog you link is gruesomely unreadable. I guess these sites are therapy for the terminally self-obsessed, and my bad for reading it when I really don’t care—but this woman takes the ‘me’ factor to red flag level.
Does anyone actually watch Running in Heels? Because I do.. and I’m fascinated. I find every one of the interns total self-involved bitches. Yeah, I know, it’s a tv show, but I would never admit to being friends with ANY of them. They just sit there, whine & complain while doing and turning in shitty work.. if I were any of them, I would be completely embarrassed. Sorry Beet.. I love you- but Talita is annoying and I would never admit to being friends with her.
I watch it too! Mostly because I need my Nina Garcia fix since Project Runway has been off the air for so long. I am going to chop it up to bad edits and story line manufacturing like most reality tv shows, but I also find the interns to be the least enjoyable part of the show by far! I want a show about Zoe and and all the other workers there who give them the assignments. Like if they had followed Abby to Paris fashion week and shown more of her awesome late night video updates! I need that show. Yeah sorry Beet, I don’t want to dis any of your friends but after how Talita was portrayed acting towards Samantha and during their little “argument” or whatever saying it was the most strenuous argument she had every had, I was kind of over her. I am sure she is a wonderful person outside of the show, I am just saying I would be disappointed with how I was portrayed if that was my edit. Damn those editors, they are always out for blood!! ;)
I completely agree. I think I was in a bad mood this morning about getting up for work, and it being Monday and all, that I went a little over the top and was a bit harsh. some of my friends are bitches too, but I love them all the same :)
funny..i actually found the show on itunes yesterday and watched all the episodes to date. that talita girl is such a whiney bitch. sorry, beet. she takes an internship and all she does is complain. and it’s so apparent how jealous she is of sam. like, hello! you do realize you’re being filmed, don’t you? she seems to be smart enough so far, but the attitude kills it.
Eh, TV shows are edited to make people look like bitches, and everyone’s high drama when the cameras are on. Talita’s good people.

Yeah, that is what I assume with all these shows. All the “bitchy” stuff is pretty petty and a lot seems too contrived, so I usually chalk it up to the producers trying to create a story. Plus how cool would it be to work with Nina?! I don’t think I could resist trying to get some Project Runway dirt from her, haha.
I do think Talita is most fashionable and beautiful of the girls but she just comes across as bitchy to me. however, she’s definately not as bad as that ashley girl..ugh I wat to hit her in her big-nosed face every time I see her.

seriously, beet…i so had had enough of her complaining when the intern (with the lucy lawless gorgeous blue eyes) was leaving early to go to d.c. (to get some dick) & visit her boyfriend.
honestly, if she was all that super, miz talila would’ve shut her pie-hole and ran circles around that other intern (lil’ miz up talita’s ass) and created an opportunity to shine in front of her bosses during the beauty sale.
