America has spoken, people, and Kelly is #1 on the charts once again this week with her new album, All I Ever Wanted. I, for one, love the album, but I’m one of the rare people who actually loved My December, too, which flopped because it lacked strong singles. At the time, Kelly insisted on sticking with material she’d written herself, even though her label begged her not to release the album without some more radio-friendly material. I still think it was a damn good album. But I’m glad to see Kelly back on top, one way or another. I voted for you, Kelly!

This young woman is related to some very famous face in showbiz, and she resembles them in both her face and her fashion. This should NOT be a hard one, kids. Who’s the famous celeb relative?
Answer after the jump.

Way to go, Natasha! When the beloved and respected actress was taken off life support last week, her family requested that her organs be donated to other patients whose lives they might save.
Organ donation “is very Natasha,” a family friend told People. “She spent so much time fighting the stigma of AIDS; someone like that would naturally donate her organs. At least by donating her organs something good could come out of [the tragedy].”
I agree! I’ve made clear to my family that, in the event of my death, they should totally tear me apart and use every possible part of me to improve or save someone else’s life. I mean, I’m dead, dude. I don’t need those parts anymore. It’s like a final gift you can leave to the world when you leave it. I think it’s awesome, and huge props to Natasha for making that decision.
As for her husband and her kids? They’re hanging in there, as much as anyone can in the face of such a tragedy. I’m sure they’re largely still in shock. “Liam is doing okay,” says family friend Blaine Trump. “It takes a while to absorb this. But he says the family needs to move forward. They will take it one step at a time.”
Liamn was expected to return to work on the Toronto set of his upcoming drama Chloe, and the boys were headed back to school. “With good friends by their side,” says Trump, “they will get through the tough days ahead.”
Thoughts and prayers are with his family that they find hope and strength in this horrible time!!!

I just feel I have to emphasize what a phenomenal and unlikely life Danica McKellar has carved out for herself. After spending her childhood starring as the beautiful girl next door on The Wonder Years, she decided that instead of becoming a drug addict or attempting to release an ill-fated album, she would go to college. And study mathematics at UCLA. She graduated summa cum laude. I don’t know that the average person understands just how difficult it is to graduate summa cum laude in mathematics from UCLA. But as someone who has taken mathematics courses at UCLA and did not graduate summa cum laude, I’m in a unique position to tell you that this is an insanely impressive accomplishment. As an undergrad, she also co-authored a scientific paper, culminating in something called the Chayes-McKellar-Winn theorem. I dare you to name another child star who has a fucking mathematical theorem named after them.
And THEN she went on to write two books that encourage young women to love and learn mathematics. They’re titled Math Doesn’t Suck: How to Survive Middle-School Math without Losing Your Mind or Breaking a Nail and Kiss My Math: Showing Pre-Algebra Who’s Boss. Both books have held steady on the New York Times best-seller list. Amazing. Just amazing. Needless to say, this woman is my hero.
So I am DELIGHTED to hear she’s been able to add true love to the list of blessings in her life. Danica married composer Mike Verta in a ceremony Sunday in the California seaside town La Jolla. The two had been dating since 2001, and got engaged this summer.
Congratulations, Danica. I wish you all the best. May you serve as an example for young women everywhere.

Gossip Girl‘s Blake Lively arriving at Late Show With David Letterman. And I know I’m asking, “Love It Or Leave It?” but what I really want to know is, “Areola Or No Areola?” Oh, and don’t Google “areola” unless you are totally braced for disaster.

Remember when Avril Lavigne was kind of popular and relevant and sober and a singer? Well don’t feel bad because no one else does either.
I’ll tell you something, though. She got married almost three years ago to Sum 41′s Deryck Whibley and that union has lasted almost three years longer than I ever thought it would. This is the couple that I always think has already divorced about five times by now. Sadly, now their marriage appears to be scotch on the rocks. Gatecrasher tells the tale of the young lovers, their drama and Avril’s love for all things potato as long as all those potato things are brands of vodka:
Avril Lavigne can party like a rock star.
The Canadian singer was “getting bombed” at MyHouse in L.A. last weekend, says a spy. “She kept downing vodka drinks, to the point where she was obliterated. She ended up fighting with her husband (Deryck Whibley of Sum 41 fame) before ignoring him completely.”
While Whibley sat alone on the couch glumly, “Avril talked to everyone else. When he was ready to leave, she downed two more shots of vodka before walking out the door. What a child!”
