How is this still a story?
I thought we’d established long that this chick wasn’t helping out in the investigation against the dude who beat her up. But now we’re hearing it again, because her humanity/weakness in the face of this horror never stops being compelling:
Sources say Rihanna “wants the whole thing” to go away and isn’t helping the district attorney prepare his case against Brown for allegedly beating her to a pulp in the early hours of February 8th, the day the of the Grammy Awards.
Apparently Rihanna is angry, they say, that pictures of her bruises were leaked to the press. She’s not happy, too, that she was quickly identified as Brown’s victim.
Listen, Rihanna, I’m sorry that the press identified you, I really am, but it wasn’t much of a mystery. I’m sorry that your photo leaked. You’re not any domestic violence victim. You’re a celebrity, and that’s an identity you accept in good times and in bad. You signed your name on the record deal. You knew what you were getting into, and you’re in it now.
Take a stand and turn this around, Rihanna. Don’t make it go away. Make it matter.
Of course, the problem is not that Chris Brown whipped her ass, it’s that people found out about it. So sad.

Rhianna stopped being a victim quite a while ago…like, right about the time she was planning to reunite with Chris Brown soon after her beat-down….but then….in response to public outrage at her stupidity, began making career/money-driven decsions.

AMEN. She stopped being a victim long ago. She’s an accomplice now and I would go as far as to charge her with obstruction of justice for not cooperating with the investigation. She is sending a very negative message to impressionable fans that it is OK to sweep domestic abuse under the rug. SHE IS BECOMING A NEGATIVE ROLE MODEL PEOPLE
What’s most troubling to me is that women seem to be the only ones responsible for putting a stop to domestic violence. You know what might help the situation? If Brown’s friends stopped hanging out with him and stopped being his friend and made it very clear that hitting a woman (or anyone for that matter) is not OK. Maybe if the batterers’ male friends ostracized him enough, the batterers might get it.

Well maybe it’s just that her PR team has to cater to the herd that likes them TOGETHER. the dummies who in their own personal lives would stand by their man in the same instance, so she looks more street. she probably hates his guts. it’s disgusting but true – she has to cater to her fanbase. after all, money talks, bullshit runs a marathon…
Rihanna needs someone to knock some sense into her.
