American Idol Spoiler

Jump to read about last night’s American Idol elimination.  Don’t jump if the episode is on your DVR and you haven’t watched yet.

Earlier this week, there were rumblings that American Idol was fixed.  According to an American Idol employee, Danny Gokey, Lil Rounds, Adam Lambert and Alexis Grace were the predetermined singers that would make it to the final four.

Well either the AI employee is a crackhead or American Idol execs decided they better do damage control on the story, because last night Alexis Grace was sent packing even after a final chance to be saved.

  • That is exactly what I thought. I heard that there was someone running around saying that. Then on last night’s show they let her go and I think they did that so we wouldn’t think it was fixed…well if they let her go because of that it’s still fixed! She is very good I don’t think she was really in the bottom two

  • I was so glad she got eliminated. Something about her attitude was just offputting. You could just see in her face when they said “We were thinking about saving one of these contestants,” that she assumed it was her.

  • not sad that she left. randy couldn’t even remember her name, haha!

btw…loved carrie underwood’s performance with randy travis. she’s a great singer!

  • I won’t miss her but was I the only one creeped out by a duet love song between Underwood and Travis. I liked the sound of it but it seriously gave me the creeps.

  • She was the best girl on the show; depending on which bathroom door Adam Lambert is using… and the fat Fantasia is not good at all. Sucks…

  • Well–I’m not gutted that she’s gone–but on sheer talent, that big lug country boy should have gone before her…and the BLIND GUY. The country guy barely opened his mouth his whole performance and like Simon, I didn’t understand ONE of that entire song. The blind guy is just mediocre. When you have another guy in the competition who can also play the piano and… SING, you have to think WTF America, how long can the kid go on sympathy votes? Are more talented singers going to get booted before the blind guy, just because hes blind? Can’t this be based on TALENT?

Seriously starting to annoy me now.

  • glad she’s gone. i stopped watching american idol weeks ago. at this stage of the competition it’s just too boring.

and i agree. it’s time for the blind kid to get the boot! geez!

  • AI sucks, or more accuratley the musical tastes of this country suck. Here’s a list of singers Alexis Grace is better than:

    The oil rig worker.
    The blind guy.
The frat boy with the guitar.
    The tattoo chick.
    Anoop Dog.

I get why the judges didn’t save her, they need to keep that ace in their pocket to save danny gokey or Justin Buble if the unthinkable ever happens. But jeez, it should never have come to this.

Gimme a break. I hate you America.

  • I’m also not totally bummed that Alexis got booted, but she had WAAAY more talent going than the “big country lug” Michael, and also the blind guy. If she would have sang with that much passion the night before, she probably wouldn’t have been going home.

Not meaning to be politically incorrect here, but if you want to talk about creepy, the blind guy is a little creepy to me. He needs to maybe get some sunglasses… I think the sympathy vote will carry him for another week or two, but not much further than that. Some Christian rock label will probably pick him up, but he’s just not the next AI. Sorry…

I still love Adam. I have mad gay love for him! Is that even possible since I’m female?? Oh well…

  • You have to admit that her rendition of Jolene was seriously weak though. Even if they were doing damage control they certainly didn’t ask her to do a lame rendition of a good song. It was good in a “I can see why she got the boot” way though.

  • She had a bit of a cocky attitude, and I really didn’t see her as the next AI either, but I’m not sure Michael deserved to stay. He’s definitely getting through because he’s cute. But Alexis… ehg, average at best.
