So you know how much of 30 Rock‘s plot last night revolved around McFlurrys? What’s that, you didn’t watch it? WHY NOT?? It’s only the best show on television. Anyway, so the McFlurry was a big part of the show last night, and today everyone was talking about how Tina Fey’s show must have scored big bucks from McDonalds from the product placement. I personally saw three Twitter friends last night tweet about how bad they wanted a McFlurry. (Wanna follow me on Twitter? Click here!)
But Tina says in a statement that they got no cash from Mickey D’s. She just loves McFlurrys that much:
It gives me great pleasure to inform you that the references to McDonald’s in last night’s episode of 30 Rock were in no way product placement. (Nor were they an attempt at product placement that fell through.) We received no money from the McDonald’s Corporation. We were actually a little worried they might sue us. That’s just the kind of revenue-generating masterminds we are.
Also, the upcoming story line where Liz Lemon starts dating Grimace is just based on a recurring dream I have.
Seriously, though, it’s not product placement.
Also, whoever is writing my Twitter account is pretty funny, but it’s not me.
(Tina’s fake Twitter account is here. But you should really follow mine instead.)
Oh, man.
A woman who’s willing to admit to obsessing on McFlurrys is a woman after my own heart. I haven’t had one in awhile, since I went vegan and all, and I’m allergic to dairy to begin with, but DAMN did I love those things. I would mostly just order them and then pick out the chilled Butterfinger pieces to eat. AMAZING.

The football star had lunch with his girlfriend — who continues to wisely choose clothes that do not make her look like a Beluga whale in two belts — in NYC’s West Village today.
The couple will be spending Valentine’s Day together.
“There is something about being in love, right?” Jessica said on stage at her concert last night. “It just makes you appreciate everyday, right?… That’s kinda how I feel right now.”

Word on the street is that Jay-Z — who discovered and mentored Rihanna — is furious about what Chris Brown did to his protege last weekend.
A source tells Us Weekly: “He hit the roof. Chris is a walking dead man. He messed with the wrong crew.”
Good for Jay-Z. Violence is never a solution, but against someone who would beat up his girlfriend like that … I have to admit I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it.
Thanks Jessica!

I know there are a lot of things going on in the world that many people consider devastating and tragic. I acknowledge all those things, but would argue that this is definitely the greatest human tragedy of the year so far. Remember being a kid and looking through the Guiness Book of World Records, and there was that lady in it with the ridiculously long fingernails, and you and your little friends would just discuss those fingernails for hours? (Okay, maybe your childhood was more exciting than mine.) Well, that woman’s nails have been BROKEN OFF in a DEVASTATING car crash that left NO ONE permanently injured except for the nails. God save us all.
Lee Redmond sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries in the Tuesday accident.
Redmond was the current Guinness record holder, with nails that hadn’t been cut since 1979. Her nails measured a total of more than 28 feet long in 2008, with the longest nail on her right thumb at 2 feet, 11 inches, according to the Guinness Web site.
Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Lt. Don Hutson says she was ejected from an SUV in the crash and taken to the hospital in serious condition, the Deseret News reported Thursday on its Web site.
I can’t talk about this anymore, you guys. I’m just too upset. Those poor nails!!! Nearly THREE FEET LONG! It’s so awful to see such precious things taken away from us before their time.

Amanda Bynes, who recently dumped her douchetard boyfriend Doug Reinhardt, showed up at New York Fashion Week’s Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection looking AMAZING!!! Good for her!
Also there: Hilary Duff, Nia Long, Vivica Fox, Brittany Snow (now a brunette!), Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling and Olympic athletes Kristi Yamaguchi, Nastia Liukin and Amanda Beard.

Tara Reid has finally been released from her 60-day stay at Promises, and she just couldn’t wait to talk about her newfound sobriety to In Touch Weekly.
“Rehab saved my life,” she says. “Before, I used to think about tomorrow and I hated it. Now I can’t wait … I realized partying is not what I am anymore.”
“The hardest thing was walking through the door for the first time (and) finally admitting that I had a problem,” she continues. “I wasn’t drinking any more than my friends, so I didn’t get it. I’d think, ‘Why am I an alcoholic and she isn’t?’ The truth is, some people can drink, and some can’t. … I like alcohol but it didn’t like me. I numbed my feelings. It was no life to live.”
Now, she tells the mag, “my focus is to get back in my career and stay sober, and keep on having a better life one day at a time.”
Aw, Tara. This is actually very sweet and honest. I really do hope you can stay sober, kiddo. Lord knows your previous lifestyle wasn’t going to have a happy ending.
