Here’s the hyper-sexual video for Lady Gaga’s latest single, “Love Game.” Seriously it’s pretty much just her having dry sex with the Village People on the NYC subways. That’s the whole thing.
But I have to admit that this song is what got me into Lady Gaga. Awhile ago I asked you guys to submit songs for a jogging playlist, when I was first getting into running (the final list is here — sorry, it’s U.S. only), and a bunch of you suggested this song. I’d never really heard of her, but I checked it out, and all I had to hear was “Let’s have some fun / this beat is sick / I wanna take a ride on your disco stick” and I was like, “I love this girl.” I checked out the rest of the album and ended up loving most of it. I love hyper-sexual women! Own it, chica!!!
Rihanna has returned to Barbados, where she grew up, to spend time with her family while she recuperates from the horrible abuse Chris Brown dished out last weekend.
“There is some bruising. She will be all right. I think so,” said her father after seeing her. “At some point, she will speak out,” he added. “I hope she will stand up for women all over the world.”
I do, too!!!
It’s a helluva lot of pressure to put on a young woman healing from that level of betrayal, but I do hope Rihanna has the courage to speak out, tell her story, and give hope to other women in similar situations. And encourage them to LEAVE!!! Because there is NO REASON to stay in an abusive relationship!!!
Miz Cyrus performed on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway in the UK last night, and forgot the words to her own song, “Fly on the Wall.” It happens around the 1:12 mark. At the very end of the performance, you can see her saying to one of her dancers, “I forgot the words!”
Listen, I know how we all hate Miley Cyrus because it’s our duty as responsible adults and stuff, but she actually recovered really, really well, and she’s a fantastic live performer. Let’s keep in mind that this girl is sixteen years old, and give her a tiny bit of credit. At least she didn’t break out into a jig, Ashlee-style.
Also: her legs are fantastic. Then again, so were mine when I was 16.

“My life was set, I was going to go to college, I was going to try to do something great, like be a doctor. It didn’t really work out. I decided after I had done High School Musical and after I had done a couple of films that I wanted to go to college to study films [at the University of Southern California]. I had friends in the program and they just raved about it. I was so jealous that they were there. After I was accepted to go, I was deferred for one year and since then, I haven’t really had time to go back.”
Zac Efron, complaining about how his prestigious medical career was derailed by his enormous success as a teen sex symbol. Hey, maybe he could land a gig on House? I remember Tara Reid once giving an interview about her role in Van Wilder and being like, “I never got to go to college [no shit!], so this was kind of like my college experience,” and I just about threw up all over my laptop.
Although I am single, I have felt so very loved today. I’m still sick, but my little animals (Leo, Josie, Max and Ashley), have refused to leave my side through all three days of being sick today! Plus I have had a bunch of friends call or text to see if there was anything I needed, or if I just wanted company. (Thank you Trish, Emily, Heather and Gayle!!) I can’t believe I’ve lived in Seattle for less than a year and I have already formed the kind of friendships where people are willing to go out of their way (on Valentine’s Day!!) to take care of me when I’m sick. I am such a lucky girl.
PLUS, I have all of you guys, and for that I am exceptionally grateful. I just have the most awesomest readers on this blog, and I love how you guys talk so openly about your own lives and are so encouraging to me. I asked you yesterday to post stories about how you met your boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse, and you certainly delivered. I have read EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM and will continue to read them as you post them (the thread is here). I am just so grateful for your comments and your suggestions and your affirmations. I am actually making a list of your suggestions, and I am going to try every single one of them. I also can’t tell you how much it means to have so many of you tell me that I will find a great relationship and that I’m worth holding out for the right guy. It gives me so much encouragement to read your amazing stories and to discover how so many of you have found true and lasting love. I also smiled at the person who suggested I keep my eyes open for loves of both sexes … hey, I always said if Lindsay Lohan asked, I’d say yes! Ha ha! No, seriously though, I really like dick. (But, Lindsay, I could never say no to you! Call me!)
Oh, and a special thank you to my very first Valentine and true friend to this day, Kevin, for introducing me to the source of these Valentine’s Day graphics (someecards.com) by sending me a card years ago that said “Sorry I came in your hair.”
She. Is. Marvelous. Seriously marvelous. And super gorgeous. I am not generally a fan of short hair, on guys or girls (late ’90s men’s fashion was a nightmare for me, and I was only in middle school), but she looks so...
I would like to tell you that the term “retard” is very offensive to me. I am not offended because I ASSUME it would offend someone who has mental retardation. I am offened on how the word came to...
