BNL lead singer Steven Page has left the group to “pursue a solo career” after getting busted with a shitload of cocaine last summer.

“These guys are my brothers. We’ve grown up together over the past twenty years. I love them and wish them all the best in the future,” said Steven in a statement that did not mention the drug bust.

Do you guys think this’ll be the end of the group? Or does anyone even listen to BNL these days anyway? I mean, I always smile when “If I Had a Million Dollars” comes on the radio, but I didn’t realize they were putting out new material … except for the kids album they released last summer right before the drug bust, featuring the hit single “If I Had a Million Dollars (I’d Buy Even More Blow, Kids!)”.

they were my favorite band for like 8 years… i still listen to their old stuff on occasion, but i didn’t even buy their last album. i am curious to see what they’ll be like without steve… but i think they’ve trailed off so much over the past few years and that’s just gonna continue.

Completely over-rated college band whose fans are rich kids that like to wear sandals.

Still listen to their old music(some of it was really good). The band says they will be recording a new album in April without Steven., I really don’t know how this will work. He’s the frontman! I think that’s the end as they say.Good run while it lasted

They may have been just a fad in the States, but in Canada, they were something to be proud of. They made many charitable appearances, and were always supportive of Canadian culture.
It’s a shame that they are now only known due to Steven Page’s arrest.

I’ve been a huge BNL fan for years, and they still give amazing live shows (well, until now). They weren’t just a fad here. I’m sad to see Stephen leave, but I love Ed’s voice just as much.

    Sigh.

    Such a pity about breakup.
