Is there ever NOT a ton of drama with every season of Idol?? THAT IS WHY IT IS SO GREAT.
When I did my American Idol recap on Tuesday night, I mentioned that contestant Ricky Braddy’s mom plugged their website, TheBraddyBunch.com, on the show. The site had information about Ricky, and they were also selling T-shirts with the “Braddy Bunch” logo on them. Apparently, my plug got me on their mailing list, and I got this email today:
Hey loyal Braddy Bunch Followers!
Here is the what is going on. We were contacted and threatened in horrendous ways by FremantleMedia, 19 Entertainment, and FOX, explaining that we were an unfair advantage to the rest of the contestants by operating this site. They threatened us with a cease and desist letter, and instructed us that if we didn’t comply they would pull ricky from the competition.
As we are looking out for the best of Ricky, for now we have complied. We are a very very smart group over here, and plan on taking this infringement on our first amendment to the top. Many people think this has been taken down because “the brady bunch” had issues, which let me explain IS NOT THE CASE!
We will be back! So please hold on while we get all our ducks in a row, and settle up with the wrong doings of American Idol.

Ricky didn’t make it through on last night’s Idol, but he could still, in theory, get a spot in the Wild Card round.

This guy can really sing. Much better than the “roughneck” that got picked. I hope his parents doing this won’t ruin his chances for a wild card position.

Couple of whoring parents. I’m sure AI and the affiliated companies are shaking in their boots about what’s going to happen when the Braddy Bunch comes after them. If they’re so “very very smart”, maybe they should read the contract I’m sure all contestants sign. Plus, the first amendment doesn’t give you rights to say anything you want.
Ricky is likeable enough, and he’s a decent singer. Too bad he has such assholes surrounding him
