You should be able to adjust font size within your browser. In Firefox, you go to the toolbar and click View > Zoom > Zoom In, and make sure “Zoom Text Only” is checked. I’m sure Internet Explorer has a similar feature.
No, it’s not appropriate for a 14yr old, but really only because she shouldn’t yet be viewed as a woman. And this is the outfit of an adult woman. But it’s also not inappropriate in the sense that it makes her look cheap/slutty. And yes, it is mostly the shoes that add years onto the outfit. Lower heels or ballet flats would most certainly keep it younger.
However, for a talk show (and I’m assuming this is what she wore for the actual interview), sitting on stage with her legs crossed and in full view, with millions of adult Americans watching, it may have not been the most appropriate length for the shorts. When someone’s sitting in those forums, you can’t help but see the legs. It’s why all the starlets wear short dresses for Dave and Conan. I noticed this too. But I don’t think they looked as “mature” with the dress, for some reason. I mean, overall that outfit could’ve been deemed even more questionable than this one, but somehow I see the connection between the shorts and super-high spiked heels (it’s not like they’re platforms or stacked, and that matters) makes it all a bit more street-walkerish. Again, I’m not totally against the whole outfit. I know she could’ve done far worse. But all in all, probably not the best decision ever.
