Last year ended on a really, really horrible note for Jennifer Hudson, but it’s so inspiring to see that she’s moving forward with her life and her career despite the tragedy that’s surrounded her recently.

JHud will be performing the national anthem at the Super Bowl in Tampa in February.The performance will come just days before Hudson is also scheduled to sing the songs of Neil Diamond at a MusiCares Person of the Year gala in Los Angeles.

These are Jen’s first performances since the slayings of her mother, brother and nephew in October.

Jonathan Rhys-Meyers had to be helped out of a WeHo post-Globes party after imbibing a little too much.

The star admits he did a stint in rehab a few years back, and now hardly drinks at all, because when he does he’s “all over the place, hopeless, like a 16-year-old kid.”

Uh, judging by these pictures, Jonathan should drink never.

Like her hubby before her, Victoria Beckham is the new face of Armani. She just signed a three-year, multi-million deal with the fashion powerhouse, and this is the first spread to come out of it.

Okay, okay, they’re still doing better than all the competition, by far, but the season-opener today was a 10% ratings drop over last year’s opener.

However, they still brought in 30.1M viewers, so not too shabby.

What did you guys think about the new judge, Kara DioGuardi? I found her to be immensely annoying, and I’d almost rather have Bikini Girl judge the damn thing. I was also sad that they focused so much on good auditions. And when they focused on bad auditions, it was all well-behaved, sweet people who weren’t good singers. I want the focus on the CRAZIES who LOSE THEIR SHIT. Let’s ENCOURAGE that, because it’s totally the best thing on TV.

Also does anyone know where in Phoenix those auditions took place? I grew up in the area, but I couldn’t quite place that hotel. It’s driving me nuts.

You can all take a deep breath and relax. The rumors about Vanessa Hudgens appearing in the Twilight sequel, New Moon, are false. Her camp denies it and Summit Entertainment denies it.

Most importantly, the screenwriter of New Moon says that the Leah Clearwater character — for which Vanessa was supposedly auditioning — won’t even appear in the film.
