Acclaimed actress Phylicia Rashad, who will always be Mrs. Huxtable in my mind, was announced today as the new Jenny Craig spokesperson. She held a press conference at the Beverly Wilshire to kick things off.

Good for her, I guess, although I don’t recall her ever being particularly overweight. I think she looks fantastic for her age, and she always has.

What do you guys think of this choice?

  1. Hallie says:

Somehow, she seems too classy for this. Kind of disappointing.

  2. Grace says:

I think it’s good to have someone who looks a healthy weight to do this kind of promotion – rather than someone whose yo-yo is currently on the too-thin-for-themselves side.

  3. GetYourAdverbsHere says:

Her pompous annoying voice is the (main) reason Little Bill is banned from my home. Seriously I hear it and want to step on Little Bill just to spite her.

  4. Erin says:

Perhaps they wanted to go with someone whose weight loss we could actually see. I don’t know if it is because Queen Latifa started off so big or because she simply didn’t lose weight, either way, I was not inspired.
I am anxious to see the change in Mrs. Huxtable!

there must not have been anyone else LOL

    she looks pretty.

  7. PoliteTia says:

I agree with Hallie. Jenny Craig does not work. Now Phylicia Rashad will be joining company with Monica Lewinsky and Kirstie Alley. This stuff did nothing for Queen Latifa, who I still queen sized. Shame to see Phylicia prostitute her fame like this.

  8. Veronica says:

Glad to see her looking so well. She could lose a few pounds, but she looks great!

  9. ADru says:

Maybe she can finally talk some sense into Olivia!

  10. Nikita4444 says:

This is a perfect example of things that piss me off.
She does NOT need to lose weight!
She is a beautiful, sophisticated woman
