Today's Evil Beet Gossip

Who Forgot to Take Their Pamprin Today?

Video of Julia Roberts taking a nutty on paparazzi in Venice, California.  I don’t blame her; I’d go nuts being stalked too.  Cure:  Don’t be famous.

  • I would be scared if I was that paparazzi photographer! Although I understand her need to provide security and privacy for her children, as a celebrity you are putting yourself into the limelight. If you want the millions you have to put up with the annoying photogs and stop complaining about it all the way to the bank.

  • I think it’s silly to say that celebrities are asking for this type of treatment and that it is the price of fame. It didn’t use to be like this. I think there should be laws in LA to protect their privacy. She is picking up here kids. You know what, we are part of the problem. I think I’m quitting gossip.

    • Agreed. It is stalking and harassing behavior and it should be illegal. I don’t really get why it ISN’T illegal. If my ex boyfriend was camped out in front of my house taking pictures or following me around constantly, he’d get arrested. I don’t understand the difference. That being said, I’m not ready to quit the gossip :-)

    • I don’t understand how the state of California has such progressive laws in areas across the board, but have not yet made illegal this kind of stalking. It is ridiculous to think that just because these stars are talented in some form or other they should be willing to give up all privacy and safety (as shown with Princess Diana) for the sake of ticket or album sales. That is NOT an even trade.

  • If I had been folowed all day and was picking up my kids, knew I was going to be driving and being followed again, Id get mad too.

And she didnt seem nutty, just at the end of her tether.

    Go Julia!

  • frankly, she’s out of the limelight. Hasn’t done a movie in a long time. Why do the paps care? Can’t find Brittany?

    • Yeah she’s been irrelevant for so long, I’m surprised anyone would waste their time following her.

  • i kind of didn’t mind this, i think i would have done the same thing. plus, if i were famous and constantly being followed, i could see myself going a little bit apeshit just as a big “fuck you” to the paparazzi…stickin to the man, Julia, you go girl

  • They chose to be famous, when you make that choice you just have to put up with it.
Either that or DON’T BE FAMOUS. Stop making movies or music or whatever.
I get that it’s annoying to followed by the paps. But god all these celebs who whine about it, meeeeeehh weeeeh the paparazzi stalk me! – really annoy me. IT’S WHAT YOU CHOSE YOU DIMWIT. Now quit whining and get back to counting your stacks of money.

    • In her case I think she chose to practice the craft of acting and became successful at it. Paris chose to be famous.

    • Hey, Luce, she HAS stopped making movies for a while now. I think it’s about the kids. If she’s out promoting a movie or going somewhere public without her kids, she’s fair game. But when she’s just doing her daily chores, she deserves her privacy. She’s still a human being. It’s sad that someone is going to have to die (Princess Diana!?) before they will change the law.

      • I totally agree that the stars might be fair game. But it should be against the law to take pictures of the chidren or follow them around when the children are with them As well as being encroaching it is dangerous!!!

  • Part of the “price” of fame for Movies stars/celebrties, is losing – to some extent – their privacy. But their MUST be some expecation of moderation. It’s one thing for paparazzi to “get the shot”, it’s another thing to STALK these people withpout mercy.

The Paris Hiltons, Spencer & Heidi’s, Lindsey Lohans of the world put themselves out there, and DESERVE to get what they ask (BEG) for. Julia Roberts is not one of those people/celebrities. She makes every attempt to stay out of the pubic light and not be whoring herself out constantly. I don’t bame her one fucking bit, especially as she was on her way to get her kids.

    KICK THIER ASS JULIA.

  • There’s a simple solution to her paparazzi problem, Don’t live in L.A. moron. Paul Newman lived his whole life without a paparazzi problem. I’m sure that had a lot to do with the fact that he lived most of his life in Westport Connecticut.

    • If I’m not mistaken, her primary residence – for this very reason – is in New Mexico – She only comes to stay in LA or NY if she needs to be there for work.

    • yeah she lives in New Mexico- in Taos. My family has a house out there and we have seen her randomly- grocery store, etc.

    • Or perhaps he managed that because there was no 24-hour feed for info coming from the internet and celebrity news shows. It was a completely different time, that’s comparing apples to oranges.

  • if it was just julia being followed i’d tell her to suck it up and stop whining. but i don’t think that her kids should be photographed in their day to day activities…after all, they are not famous by choice. she seems to really try to protect her kids and give them normal lives, unlike someone like tom cruise who constantly drags suri in front of the paps.

    • I feel like Suri is already screwed up. She never looks very happy. She already seems to have animosity toward the paps. Poor thing, she’s already jaded an over it. It’s weird that they don’t protect her more.

  • FUCK! YEAH! GO! JULIA! we can dissect this issue ’til we’re blue in the face…not gunna change the fact that she is right-fucking-ON! love her.

  • Everyone says- oh you chose to be famous, la la la.
For someone who’s working now to become famous, to an extent yes, though most of them don’t understand how much it’s going to wear.
For her though? Back when she achieved it the papparazzi weren’t this bad, everywhere, all the time, following you like that.

  • I don’t think it’s fair that because she’s a celebrity, the paps effectively get away with stalking. It’s not like she’s at an event or anything, she’s just living her life. If someone followed me around with a camera all day I could call the cops, yet celebrities have to put up with it.

  • Famous or not, we all have the unalienable right to tell some asshole who is bothering us to FUCK OFF, and that, my friends, is what I got out of this message from Julia. I support her and I don’t even like her.

  • I think that it’s ironic that most of these actresses sell their asses for money and then act like taking photos for money is not respectable. Everything goes in Hollywood, right?

    • Taking photos for money is one thing…what these paps have stooped to is pathetic. The fact that he apologized then kept filming shows what a slime he is.

  • hahahahaha that was awesome. I love her. It is sad that being a successful actress now means being in the public eye 24/7. like if I was into acting I would want to be like on broadway and stuff. You still get to do what you love and be good at it… People still recognize you but its not like your business is put on blast all the time.

  • Go Julia! There is a difference between going out and getting photographed vs. being stalked and followed. There has to be some kind of line drawn in the sand. I would have screamed at him like a drunken sailor with turrets if I were her.

  • Well I think that its ridiculous that just because your a celeb, means you have no right to privacy. They make movies for us to watch with out them there would be no movies or music, therefore I think we should cut them a bit of slack, sure take their picture but dont stalk them

  • Never was a fan……until I saw this. I would not have been as nice as she was. She is not whoring herself out there like some, who have already been mentioned above, and deserves at least some privacy, especially when she is with her children. I loved the “aim higher” comment. How do some of these cretins sleep with themselves. They are worse than leeches.

  • That comment, “Don’t be famous” really bugs me. These people are entitled to a private life. I’m a hairdresser. Does that give people the right to knock on the door of my house any time they want and demand that I do their hair? It’s the same thing! They have jobs. They are entitled to have a private life without being stalked everywhere they go, especially when they have their kids with them. No one wants to be on stage all the time, except some of the nuts, in that case then report it. Julia is a very private person and doesn’t put herself out there. Give those that are respectful, respect. AND, if she flipped out like that, it must have been bad.

  • i love how people are all like “dont me famous” its not just that easy, and they didnt choose this really, they like/love acting/singing or whatever and people starting likeing them alot too. and you can’t just stop being famous! it doesn’t work that way!
