Gran Torino, the flick Clint Eastwood both directed and starred in, has taken the number one spot for weekend box office. I love that the old dude is the one responsible for a $29M wide release open. Bride Wars brought in $21.5M, followed closely by The Unborn with $21.1M. Marley & Me dropped to fourth place after being on top for two weeks and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button held on to the fifth position.

Gran Torino was fantastic.
I never understood what would compel someone to both direct and star in their own movie.
I mean, I guess it’s not a bad thing, it just strikes me as odd.
