Gwen Stefani Could No Doubt Use Some Sun

Gwen Stefani

I’m well aware of the fact that I am the only person in the world that isn’t impressed by Gwen Stefani.  Not her fashion, face or vocals.  What else is new?  I’m used to having an unpopular opinion.  It feels natural at this point in my life.  Please.  Don’t one person say that they think Gwen is a mediocre singer who dresses funny and needs to abandon the geisha makeup racket she’s had going on for the past decade plus.  I can’t handle that kind of anarchy.

So this picture comes across my computer and what is the first thing my eyes and mind fixate on?  The fabric of that coat will be ruined because of the idiot that put an inventory sensor on it.  Those tags destroy shit.  Just ask Winona Ryder.

Gwen with a tufted trench coat that I actually don’t hate.

  • You are not alone, well at least not completely alone. I love Gwen as part of No Doubt but not as a solo artist. I don’t think she is shit I just don’t like that style of music and wouldn’t exactly call her a style icon either.

P.s. wtf is with the green beanie? It’s hideous.

  • You take the time to put on a shiteous amount of foundation and the “I’m not really a waitress” Red lipstick, but couldn’t find the time to run a brush thru the hella blond do??? Nice green hat, Gwen. Fashion maven, indeed. That is how the lady that collects can out of my recycle bin dresses, everyday. You must be proud of the profound affect your fashion drive has on everyday people.

  • Actually I think she’s a real beauty, especially sans make-up. But here not so much. Combo green beanie & hoodie sweatshirt??

  • love her. sorry wendi. also i prefer the coat she is wearing to the one she’s holding.

i can see why she doesnt give a toothy grin too often when she is photographed.

  • yeah not so much a fan
shes got that gum thing going on and her face nothing amazing
fashion….she just takes from others…voice annoying

  • Let’s see, she can’t sing, dress and looks like sh*t without makeup. And this makes her different from Britney Spears (who I’ve seen pimped here about a bazillion times in the last week) how? At least she hasn’t knocked out two kids that she now doesn’t want to take any responsibility for. Or married some loser that she stole away from another woman, and then didn’t want the loser when she got him.

  • Less-than-flattering photo, for sure. But I didn’t really dislike her until she went solo.
As per the coat/sensor issue, they did at least think to place it on a seam. Hopefully that will minimize any potential damage. It’s a sweet coat.

    • Agreed- the ‘idiot’ put it on the seam intentionally b/c it won’t ruin the coat when removed. Retail 101.

  • The hat is horrendous and should be taken out back and shot.

I love her, love her style, love her voice. I hated her last album, the song she did with Akon made me want to put a bullet in my temple. But I move on. Unless that hat makes another appearance.

  • Gwen Stefani may well be the single worst lyricist in the history of music. I’d put money on it. Sit down with a pen and pad and write down the lyrics to “Don’t Speak” and you’ll get a sense just how stupid that song really is.

      • or an oniion!!! No tater or onion, just ummmm, IDK, oh, I remember, LAMB,,, um hmmmm. Going out right now to purchase that sh**. So there.

  • OMG I AM NOT ALONE. I’m basically neutral on her music, bleh on her fashion and deeply skeeved out by her harajuku girls thing. Sorry, it’s gross to have five Asian women follow you around and not talk. I also can’t stand how everyone fawns over her and acts like she’s the world most perfect parent while never commenting on her omnipresent nannies and how she’s basically making sure there are pictures taken of her son(s) every single day.

And seriously, she named her son ZUMA. Why doesn’t she get even half the crap Ashlee and Pete get for Bronx? ZUMA, for crike’s sake.

  • i think she’s pretty. but i like some of her overproduced music. seriously the most produced music i’ve ever heard (“early winter”). and beet her lyrics aren’t bad, they’re “honest”; ok they suck…

  • I find her beautiful, immensely talented, full of warmth and genuine-ness with a kind, down-to-earth spirit, I think she’s amazing, as a solo artist or as a part of No Doubt. I have always really, really loved Gwen Stefani. I have a special spot in my heart for her anyway, ’cause I used to physically resemble her so much back in college, and also shared her sort of girlie-tomboy kind of “image,” or whatever. Yeah, I love Gwen Stefani…

  • wow lots of hate for gwen. i want to throw out there that i happen to think she is beautiful, talented, and fun and a positive female role model.

that being said, i’d steal her hubby if i had the chance.

  • she has an amazing amazing voice! She is very beautiful but i’m not so keen on her as a solo artist, i loved and still love no doubt. She has a perfect family, a fashion label and an amazing backtrack of songs behind her, no wonder so many people are a teensy bit jealous!

  • Yup, that is the absolutely most dorky picture I’ve ever seen of her. I’m just thinking that it must be such a drag to live your whole life in the public eye; stupid grin and bad hat days included. I remain a big fan though. Just a comment on the “Don’t Speak” lyrics—–>I think that they make perfect sense when the listener considers Gwen’s story (specifically the Tony relationship). I’ve been in a relational situation like the song refers to and it’s hard and heartbreaking to love someone so crazy much (and to know he loves you back) all the while recognizing the futility of trying to make it work logistically (in spite out-of-this-world chemistry/attraction, some couples just should not become married and start families); needing to go separate ways but both of you dreading it and avoiding it.
