Lily Allen has done a cover of Britney Spears’ Womanizer. A couple of things immediately come to mind: 1) This song was just released a couple months ago. We’re already doing remakes? 2) I am so completely depressed listening to this version. Like, get me some Lithium, hide all the razors, I need a pen and some paper to jot down a few final thoughts depressed.
What do you all think? Better than or worse than Britney? And was a cover of this really necessary ninety days out from the original release?

I think this version is good. Yet, it’s not very original. She just sang the song slower. Also, I think that it’s too early to do a cover, and I think she’s just trying to capitalize off of Brit’s current popularity.
Britney Spears has no popularity! and it’s not even her song its written by someone else!
These should be the ONLY” opinions that really matter! WHAT do you THINK of Lily Allen”s music? I don’t believe it matters when people write blogs about things that may or may not have happened, or what she MIGHT” have said! The truth is when you watch video taped interviews Lily Allen will clear up weather she did what you think she did! or weather its a lie(sometime she just touches on the subject) she has to be careful with her answers. Newspapers and blogs always say that she talks too much, but that’s they’re excuse, because they’re the ones doing the talking. She’s a character but she’s not that person you read about! A video taped interview will show you a very different person. Someone that’s funny, cute and pretty nice. By the way the cover of womanizer is better!
it’s probably just radio 1 live lounge or something, where they all sing covers. I doubt she’s releasing it. But she does a lot of things like this – there’s a YouTube video of her singing a really light, poppy version of Keane’s Somewhere Only We Know – it’s excruciating. She butchers it.
Right now, it seems difficult, to find Lily Allen”s version of Keane’s Somewhere only we know but, going by Lily Allen”s version of Naive, I don’t think she can butcher, any song that they do. Keane has a better version, but Lily Allen did just fine. By The way, Womanizer was extra work, for the internet (only) so your right!

The Good name of Britney? Britney Spears! good name! HA HA HA come out from under your rock! She can’t sing, and does not write her songs, shes a tragic image, built by the record companies that gave her the job, because…I have to say I don’t know why! Her looks? no, she messed that up, her singing voice? No! she sounds like an infant, and that’s after her voice is altered by a machine, her personal life? No the papers make sure she doesn’t have one, since she married that trailer trash guy,! Lily Allen speaks her mind, sometimes, and yes, she can be wrong, sometimes, but she laughs at her mistakes when she makes them. The press needs to count the days and weeks that she’s sober instead of going back to last June when she wasn’t. She’s the only one voicing her opinion, about, the image of what record companies, and tabloid newspapers, do to people in the music business. And that’s why she gets in trouble!

It’s not a good song to begin with. “Womanizer” is just repeated over and over again and any song that uses the expression “front” is just ridiculous.
And tons of artists are covering current songs. Remember “Crazy” by Gnarls Barkley? Everyone had a cover of it. They are fun and kind of just for the moment. I mean really, is Womanizer going to stand the test of time?
She could have picked a better cover! Given her track record for picking songs. Mr Blue Sky was good, Naive was good, Don’t get me wrong was good, she has a tendency to choose bands like the Kaiser Chiefs, or Squeeze, so you can tell this wasn’t really her choice. The papers say Mark Ronson suggested it> It will get buried like her version of Blank Expression. Which is good, because that’s what this particular song needs to do.
lily allen is awesome, down to earh and incredibly talented… loved this.

Britney Spears is a modern day Geisha Girl. She is a prisoner kept in cage. Lily Allen is an elitist, spoiled girl from a rich family with a huge sense of entitlement. Why do people idolize either of these woman?

She’s not spoiled, anyone can tell by listening to her, and not paying attention to what people write down. If you don’t like her move on. She worked hard, from the time she was 15 years old. Her talent gave her the second best selling album in Great Britain, with 5 Brit award nominations. Including best new artist. So don’t end up like alias Keith Allen, because he’ll just end up killing his children if they turn out like him! Find out what you do like then make a comment!

Lily Allen sued a magazine for writing false drug comments. She also wrote that she does not like to drink, to excess because it’s unfair to the people that pay to see her. Normally when I don’t like something I don’t pay attention, that’s normal that’s not you!
