Biggest Loser Trainer Arrested For Beating Child

Last year, personal trainer Joseph Badalamenti helped Biggest Loser contestant Jim Germanakos shed 186 pounds.  Such high-profile success led him to television appearances including one on The Tyra Banks Show.

Friday night Badalamenti was arrested for beating his girlfriends’ six-year old son with weightlifting belts.  The boy’s mother, Jessica Muniz was also arrested.  According to their landlord, he heard the beatings and a crying child for a month before he decided to take action and call 911.  I’m not sure who deserves more jail time.

The Accessories Council hosted the 12th Annual ACE Awards in New York City last night.  The Accessories Council.  Their mission is “to stimulate consumer awareness and demand for fashion accessory products, and to serve as the advocate of the $30 billion accessory business in the United States.”  I clearly remember my eighth grade Lit teacher told me I’d never in my lifetime use the word “superfluous”.  Yet today, I can’t think of any other word that will do.
